Skyler's P.O.V

"Derek says it's easier to turn teenagers," Stiles argued as I walked beside him in the halls.

"But what would a pack of alphas need with a beta?" Scott questioned and Stiles shrugged his shoulders starting to get frustrated.

"Maybe they wanted someone to pick on? Heather's great for that." I suggested and Stiles shot me a cold look. I'm just saying.

"Thank you, Sky. That means a lot. Seriously why don't you go ahead and spread some more of your amazing thoughts with us?!" Stiles snapped. At me.

He was snapping at me. And I could tell I'd struck some sort of nerve. A nerve I couldn't understand but I instantly held up my hands in surrender.

What the hell had gotten into him?

"You know what just because she wanted your virgin ass at her party doesn't mean you have to take it out on me," I mumbled staring at the floor, starting to feel my temper rise.

"I told you I said no because of you!"

"But you still went down there with her!"

"She's missing Sky, cut her some slack," Stiles argued staring at me like I was insane.

Because I was. He drove me insane but for once he had a point. And I was so willing to take the fall with this one and side with him.

Because he was the last one who saw Heather. I know I can be a bitch, but I also don't want to be the type of person who's constantly mean.

So when I went to open my mouth for an apology Stiles beat me to it. Cruel words spewing out of his.

"Sky, the only reason you're being so vile is because you were jealous. But there's no reason you should be since I'm clearly not your boyfriend." Stiles said and I widened my eyes and folded my arms trying to keep a straight face. "And just remember, those were your words. Not mine."

"Get over yourself you d-"

"Guys!" Scott cut me off and I sighed trying to calm down before I strangled him to death. God remind me why I like him. "Can we not do this now?"

"I didn't do anything!" I blew out a huff staring at the two in disbelief. "And to think I was going to apologise."

"That's rich. An apology. From you," a sarcastic laugh left Stiles. "Like that's happening."

"I was!"

"Wasn't!"

"Sky," Scott sent me a look knowing damn well I was going to open my mouth and continue this argument. "You can be insensitive you know. Especially when you don't get your way."

"Hah!" Stiles pointed at me in victory.

"And you can't just use Sky's feelings and outbursts to your advantage," Scott turned to Stiles and I grinned.

"Hah!" I pointed a finger right back at him.

"Could we just focus on this problem?" Scott stared at both of us, slightly pleading and we both came to a silent agreement. "Why would they really want Heather?"

"Scott, I don't know. I don't care. All right?" Stiles groaned and I felt his hand latch onto mine.

I looked up at him not letting go and he just carried on talking while squeezing it lightly. Kind of like a latch of support. Didn't he just hate me five seconds ago?

"This girl, Mine and Sky's moms were best friends with hers  before ours died, all right."

"Yeah, it was weird and stupid," I admitted and then looked back down at Stiles's hand that was still on mine. Really weird. "We used to take frickin' bubble baths together when we were three. Hate to say it but we gotta find her."
