Nelora sighed as she finished up her reports, and looked out onto her balcony, the sun just barely touching the mountains. I might have enough time to head to the War Room, and check on movements and how well our advisors are doing in spreading word and calling to our allies. She thought, and put the papers neatly on a pile in the center of her desk. Nelora looked down at her hands, and noticed black ink had stained her fingertips and smudged on her palms. Great... this will take forever to get rid of. She thought to herself in annoyance, and shook her head. Atila walked over, and sniffed at the elf's hands, before wrinkling her nose, and snorting, a pink tongue swiping over her nose.
"Nasty stuff right?" Nelora giggled, and walked past the mabari, heading to the small bathroom she had. A slight limp still in her step from the injuries she had received a few weeks ago. Turned out, the weapons that the Red Templars used left a nasty residue that made wounds healing take longer. Sighing as she started pumping a bit of water to heat up with her magic, and wash most of the ink off, Nelora looked up at the mirror, and looked at the cuts on her face. There was a small nick in her ear, and a pale slice going down the side of her cheek. After washing the ink off, she smiled.
"There, that's much better." the elf murmured, lifting her hands up and looking at the now fainter black stains. Nelora walked back over to the desk, and noticed the reports were gone. Shreds of paper were on the desk but that was about it.
"Atila, did you eat the reports again?!" Nelora looked over at the mabari, and crossed her hands over her chest. The dog looked up, and bark an irritable argument. "Right, you didn't eat them. Where did the papers go then, huh?" Atila gave a series of whine like growls, and rolled onto her side, throwing a tantrum for being blamed. Nelora giggled, and shook her head.
"I suppose it might not have been you. Especially when there's a piece of shredded paper under your leg, Blizzard must have put that there." Nelora said, and picked the chewed wet scrape, up from under the mabari's leg. "I wonder what else could have planted that there." Atila snorted, and placed her paws over her head. "You're lucky Leliana makes a copy of all my reports now, because last time you did this, lots of people were angry with me for not answering back."Nelora said and lightly tugged playfully on the dog's ears. Atila growled, and wrapped her paws around Nelora's hand, and bit down on the long sleeved tunic.
"Ati- ack!" Nelora yelped, as the dog pulled her to the ground, and they started play-fighting. Atila rolled away from Nelora, and jumped up onto the bed, barking loudly. "Oi! Not the bed! Not the bed! Get down!" Nelora jumped up, and tried to pull the dog off the bed. Atila dropped deadweight and Nellora finally dragged her off, the dog rolling off the bed onto Nelora. "Oof! Ugh, get off me you big druffa-" Nelora was cut off as a paw slammed onto the side of her face, and winced as the padded paw connected with the cut on her face. Atila pushed off the elf, and charged away to the bedroom door, which was now open. A chuckle brought Nelora's attention from the fleeing mabari to the person standing off to the side. Cullen sat there, leaning on the wall with an amused expression on his face, his white cat, Blizzard sitting next to him glaring at the door where Atila left. Nelora blinked, and snorted, getting up, and brushing the dirt, and fur off of her tunic.
"Yes Commander? Is there something you need?"
"Well, Josephine, and I heard the commotion from her office, and we figured that Atila had gotten into your reports again. I brought the copies." He said, waving the papers, and setting them lightly on the desk. Nelora gazed mournfully at the sealed papers, and sighed.
"I have to do all those over again... I'm not going to get any sleep tonight." She whined, and tugged on her braid, coiling the fine white hair around her fingers. Nelora's eyes flashed with irritation. "That mabari isn't getting her crunch tonight. Maybe that'll teach her to not eat my reports." Cullen laughed again, and shook his head.
