Y/n was walking back home with her friends they just finished school and was talking about their favorite game Danganronpa "did you watch the third class trial? It was mind blowing" one of her friends asked "I watched everything already but I don't want it to stop at that, I want to watch Danganronpa but what else is there to watch" she said with a sigh "why not read?" Her other friend suggested "read? You mean the fan fictions?" She asked as her friend nodded her head "yeah I read some of them and they're really good, you can find reader inserts, plot change, and non- canon ships." Y/n listened intently to what her friend was explaining and the more she listened the more she wanted to read the stories. Her friends house was far from hers so their chat eventually ended with them going in separate paths. She opened the door to her house and and went directly to her room, she sat in front of her study table holding her phone looking for the stories her friend recommended, she found a title that her friend mentioned. She looked below the title, it was the plot of the story "so it's a reader insert just like what she said but she wasn't wrong it is interesting" the story was about how a Danganronpa fan ended up in the game itself and now she has to find ways on how to stop the murders "maybe with the power of knowing what will happen next she might really stop the murders." I looked up to see the clock, the time was 10:39 "was i looking for books that long" we have a test tommorow I should sleep but I just found the book it's a waste not reading it "meh not sleeping wouldn't affect me either way my grades will still stay average" I pressed read and started to scroll down but the words didn't really reach me I only got a hold of some words and they didn't make sense, my eyes got heavier making the words harder to read I struggled to keep them open but it didn't work. She fell asleep on her desk while still holding on to her phone.
??? POV
"Hey look there's someone who's sleeping in one of the desks, should we wake her up?" I asked looking at the sleeping girl "she looks like she's having a nice dream let's just wait until they wake up" she answered "so we'll have to wait here until she opens her eyes?" I asked "well of course who would leave someone defenseless in this kind of situation?" She scolded me "well, that is the right choice of action" I agreed reluctantly
Y/n POV
I heard voices they were quiet but it was enough for me to hear, I continued to listen to the two voices and it seems like they just met based on their conversation. Their voices they sound so familiar it's as if they were voices that once came from my phone and their conversation sounds like lines that I have heard over and over, I slowly opened my eyes making sure they didn't notice that I was starting to wake up. I glanced to where the voices were coming from and I couldn't believe my eyes there I saw kaede akamatsu and shuichi saihara two characters from the game I loved so much, I was too shocked to remember to pretend to be asleep and instead had my eyes wide open "oh your awake" the blond girl known as kaede said facing me, am I in a lucid dream I lifted up my hands near my face and pinched my cheek and got the answer I was looking for, so it really isn't a dream I thought to myself I looked back at the two of the characters, they looked confused over my actions "ah sorry it's just a way for me to wake myself up" I lied but they seemed to believe it "oh it's alright but do you remember how you got here?" The boy with a hat covering half of his face known as shuichi asked, wait based on their clothing this is when they forgot that they participated in the killing game so all I have to do is pretend not to know "umm I've been meaning to ask that, I don't know this place or how I got here" I convincingly replied "ah that's also the case for the both of us we don't really have any memory coming here" kaede said " it almost seems like our memories we're removed, isn't it? I said dropping a hint. I know that I should be freaking out but I couldn't help but try to fit in because this is the game I loved so much I would be more than happy to be stuck here but i don't think I'll survive so I'll have to drop hints on how to stop the killing game "oh by the way what's your name?, my name is kaede akamatsu I'm the ultimate pianist and this shy boy is shuichi saihara the ultimate detective" she introduced herself along with shuichi while giving me a warm smile "I'm y/n l/n the ultimate..." I paused, what was I supposed to say I can't pretend to have an ultimate I'm an outsider after all, so am I the ultimate outsider? But how would I explain what that means, guess I'll play it safe "I-i don't remember my ultimate I'm not even sure if I have one"
(Gosh I didn't know how to end it so I left it like this. This story was an inspiration from another Danganronpa V3 reader insert which is called return,retry,restart... continue it was a very well made story so I recommend you read it.welp That's all I have to say)
