I wake up to find myself in my bedroom on my bed. I am in the same clothes and I feel a painful headache coming on. I sit up on the bed looking out the window. The sun is gone, and the moonlight is up. What happened? I look down at my clothes to find a spot of blood on my shirt. A tear falls. Who's blood? Justin's face pop up in my mind as I start to remember what happened. Justin's dead. I continue to let the tears fall as the thought of his death haunts me. This was my father's doing.

I want to kill him. As much as I have loved my father in the past, I want to kill him now. How can I? He is too strong. He has a gun. I have nothing. I continue crying wondering what I should do. I look at myself in the mirror from afar. I get up from the floor and to my closet as the idea finally comes over me. I grab a bag an old bookbag of mine. I dump it out with old school supplies. I start to fill it with three outfits, undergarments, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant.

I change out of my clothes and put on a white shirt, jeans, and hoodie. I walk over to my bedroom window and open it. I throw the book bag on the fire escape trying not to make too much noise. I climb out of the window. I let the ladder down and climb down it. Once I got closer to the ground three stories later, I jump off the last ladder. I look up at my open window. I can't go back now.

I run off to the main street as quickly as I could. I walk away from my apartment complex with my book bag on my back. I wipe the tears away trying not to think about Justin. I am not sure where I am going, but I just know I need to get out of here.

A white van rides pass me. I continue walking with my head down. Minutes later, I can hear an engine running beside me. I look up to find the same white van slowly riding beside me.

"Need a ride?" the boy asks in the passenger seat.

"No thanks," I say to him as I continue to keep walking. The van is still moving slow.

"You sure?" he asks me. "Where are you going? Maybe we can take you to your destination, Lil Mama."

"Just going for a walk," I say to him as I keep walking.

"By yourself? With a backpack on?" he asks. I continue walking without answering. "Suit yourself." The van turns the corner a block ahead of me. I roll my eyes as the conversation was starting to annoy me. I continue walking reaching the corner the van turned on. I look down that street to find the van parked. I slightly increase my pace as a boy walks pass me in the opposite direction. His hood is on and I cannot make out his face.

"How about that ride?" the boy says to me as we cross paths. He grabs my arm.

"Get off of me," I say to him as I try to fight him off. He pulls me towards the van, and I kick him in his leg. He lets me go and I run up the street. I can hear him chasing after me as I continue to run. I turn right and continuing to run as he still follows. My heart is racing as I am starting to lose my breath. I make another right turn and hide in the alley. I watch as he runs past me. I let out a big exhale as I wait for him to grow further in distance.

I walk out of the alley and casually walk into someone. "I'm sorry," I say to him.

"It's okay," he says to me. His voice sounds familiar. I look up to find the guy in the passenger seat of the van standing in front of me.

"No," I say to him as he grabs my wrist. I try fighting back but he is too strong for me. He pulls out a cloth and place it on my mouth as I continue to fight him. I can feel my body starting to feel numb as my hits becoming lighter and lighter. He holds me tight against his body as I can feel him dragging me. I hear a door opening as I get toss on something. My vision grows blurry as I watch him shut the door. Everything grows black.

"What the fuck did you do?" I can hear a voice say from afar.

"Look, she needed a ride. She refused so I strongly suggested she should accept my offer," another voice says sounding like the guy from the passenger seat.

"So, you knock her out?" the first voice says. "You let him?"

"I was against it at first, but she was a little rude," the third voice says.

"We need her. We need the money," the guy from the passenger seat says.

"This is all wrong," the first voice says.

"If you don't like it, you can get the hell out," the third voice says.

I slowly open my eyes afraid of what I may find. My vision becomes blurry for a second as I find myself laying on a living room floor. I can see into the dining room where the three boys stand: two brown skins and a light skin. They continue to talk about me as of the brown skins does not want me here. He seems concerned and against the decision. I don't want to be here either.

"This isn't about what you want," the light skin one says.

"This isn't right," the concerned one says. I turn my head to find the front door just a few feet away from me. I can slowly make a run for it.

I slowly turn my body to the door. I use the support of the living room couch to get myself up. I try to run but my legs feel so numb. I almost fall back down catching my balance. I hear footsteps quickly approach as I try to turn the knob of the door. I get the door to open some only for a force stronger than me to close it back. I look to my left to find the light skin one holding the door shut with anger on his face.

"Where do you think you're going?" he asks me as he looks me up and down. I back away from him and try heading for the kitchen straight ahead. I run towards the back door to get blocked by the quiet brown skin one.

"Get me out of here. I want to go home," I say out loud to them.

"What was that?" the light skin one says to me.

"You got the wrong girl. I do not belong here. Now, if you just let me go, I promise not to tell anyone about this," I say to him as I walk closer to him.

"How about I show you to your room instead? This is your new home" he says to me.

"No," I say to him.

"Time to go," he says to me as he grabs my right arm. His large hands squeeze on my biceps as he forces me up the stairs. I stand on the landing after the two stairs fighting to get him off. He slams my body against the wall and puts me on his shoulder. He continues walking up the stairs as I dangle over his shoulder. My head starts to hurt again as a loud ringing occurs. I can hear him walking into a room hitting the light switch.

"Welcome to your new home!" he shouts as he flops me on the bed. I try to get up and run but he pins me down on the bed. "Cuff her legs and arms!" he demands at the other two who were standing at the door. The brown skin that blocked the kitchen door does what he says as the other stands at the door watching. We make eye contact as I know he feels my pain. He wants to help me, but he does not want to feel like a traitor. They restrain both my ankles and wrists. The chain of my handcuffs around my wrist force my arms above my head. I try pulling to free myself, but it doesn't work.

"Andre, I don't think we should do this," the quiet one says to the light skin one. Andre looks up in anger and I can see the anger on his face as he sits beside me.

"You just had to say my name. Well, now that she knows my name. I am not going to be the only one she can identity in here. Sweetheart, this is Bruce and Mark," Andre says. Bruce is the one that helped while Mark is what I perceive to be the innocent one and my ticket out of here. "What's your name?"

"Vivian," I say in fear.

"Well Vivian, welcome to your new home," he says to me as he smiles.
