Alex & Kara: Danvers Sisters 4 Ever!!

Chapter 4: Aftermath of Jeremiah's Betrayal

Plot: This conversation takes place after Jeremiah stole the list of all registered aliens in the country, and Kara is forced to lay low for the next few days. Alex, feeling guilty for what she had said to Kara in the D.E.O. a day before, visits her with the hope of reconciliation.

Kara was laying low for a few days in wake of the D.E.O. investigating Jeremiah's betrayal, when she heard a knock on her door. Kara used her x-ray vision to see it was Alex. However, when she saw Alex's demeanor, Kara's heart nearly broke. She walked over and immediately opened the door. Alex's lips were trembling. Kara didn't hesitate. She immediately wrapped Alex in a tight hug. Alex entered the embrace sobbing. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry for what I said." She cried. "It doesn't matter, you're here now, and that's all I need." Kara replied. "It does matter! I hurt you more than what anyone could have ever done to you physically." Alex wailed. "Look, can we continue this inside?" Kara asked. Alex nodded, still crying as she entered Kara's apartment. Kara shut the door as she and Alex sat on her couch together. "I'm sorry." Alex said again. "For what?" Kara asked. "For making you feel unwanted. For everything I said. I said you're either part of this family or you're not; I never should have said that. I already know you have a hard time fitting in here on earth as it is. I shouldn't have done that. I made you feel unwelcome with us all." Alex said, crying. "I was angry, confused, and hurt, but more importantly, I was self-centered and blinded by my own ambitions; I should have listened to you. I should have known that dad was going to betray us all."

"Alex, you couldn't have known what he was going to do. I didn't want to believe it at first. But when Mon-El, J'onn, and Winn showed me the evidence, I nearly broke at what I had seen." Kara replied. "What did dad take?" Alex asked. "He took a downloaded copy of the National Alien Registry list." "No." Alex gasped. "Yeah. J'onn and Winn have suggested I lay low for a few days. This time I couldn't agree with them more." Kara explained. "Now that list is in the hands of Cadmus." Alex said. "Yeah, and every alien here on earth is their target, including myself, Clark, & J'onn." Kara said. Alex began to cry. "This is all my fault; If I had just listened to you, If I would have shot dad, I would have been able to stop all this. Cadmus' plot could have been foiled, and dad could probably still be here with us." "You saw dad!?" Kara gasped. "Yeah. I had him in my gun sights, and I let him go." Alex said. "Why?" Kara asked. "Cause I couldn't bring myself to shoot or kill him. I mean, he's still my father." Alex explained. "I know. I probably couldn't bring myself to do it either if I were in your position." Kara said.

"What are we going to do?" Alex asked. "I don't know, but I do know one thing: When Cadmus' does attack us, we'll be ready, because we're family and families stick together through thick and thin, and in good times and bad." Kara said. "You will always be family. I'm so sorry if I made you feel like you weren't." Alex replied. "Apology accepted. I know you didn't mean what you said." Kara said, smiling. "Hold me please?" Alex asked. "Sure." Kara said smiling. The Danvers Sisters engulfed each other in an emotional embrace. "I love you." Kara said. "I love you too, and I know that we'll be OK, because we're stronger together." Alex said. "El may-rah." Kara replied.

The sisters pulled away and smiled back at each other. "Thanks, I needed this." Alex said smiling. "Me too." Kara replied smiling back at her. "Hey, you got plans for tonight?" Alex asked. "Not really." Kara said. "How about dinner and a movie?" Alex asked. "We could get pizza and pot-stickers and watch one of your favorite films." "The Wizard of Oz?" Kara asked with pleading eyes. "Why not?" Alex said, chuckling. "Yes!" Kara said excitingly. Kara and Alex shared another hug with each other on the couch. "You're the best sister I've ever had." Kara said smiling. "Back at you." Alex replied, smiling.

And so all's well that ends well. Alex & Kara are back together and have reconciled. They still will need to prepare for Cadmus' upcoming attack, but they'll be ready regardless.

Anyways, in the next chapter, Kara & Alex have an intimate conversation in the wake of Alex's kidnapping.
