(Y/n) laughed along with Misa as he dug into the oreo cheesecake that the female had made for him. It had been so long since they'd last met up! He wished that they could've met each other sooner, but he struggled to find a time where the twins were both out of the apartment.
Lately, the male was becoming slightly nervous. Yuu and Toshizou went out way more often than they had done in the past few years and whenever (Y/n) questioned either of them about where they went, they were either really vague with their answer or tried avoiding the topic altogether.
It had been eight years now since they'd started living together. Maybe they were beginning to get bored of him?. . . Just the thought of infidelity made his heart squeeze in his chest.
He knew the strict rules of the twins' about staying inside. He couldn't help but visit Misa though when she told him that she was in the area. He'd broken a window just to get out. He wanted to see Misa again. They were still best friends, constantly chatting over text.
Yuu and Toshizou didn't know about it and (Y/n) wasn't ready to tell them yet. They'd probably be all jealous and possessive. He hated it when they got like that. He never thought that the day would come that he'd begin to get tired of how restrictive these two were when it came to him.
"So, have you been doing anything fun over the years?" Misa questioned with a wide grin. (Y/n)'s mood dropped as he remembered the many arguments between him, Yuu and Toshizou about going out by himself.
"Um. . . Not really. I cook and clean in the apartment most of the time. The twins did take me to a theme park once or twice. . ." The arguments were the only memories that ever stuck in his mind. It dominated all the fun times the trio had shared and it honestly made him really upset. If only they weren't so fucking stubborn. Misa sighed and pouted.
"You're basically a housewife? That's no good. . . Do the twins get crazy jealous still?" (Y/n) found himself nodding his head. It was true. He thought that maybe as the years passed by, they'd slowly get less possessive. Though, it actually appeared that the more time he spent with them, the more restricting and possessive they became.
"Are you made to stay in your house too?" (Y/n) blinked in surprise when Misa said 'too'. That meant she was experiencing similar problems. . .
"Too?" (Y/n) murmured. He watched his best friend as her beautiful, coffee-coloured eyes glanced around the café, as if she were keeping an eye out for someone. Once she was reassured that there was no one listening to them, she began to speak.
"Genevieve. . . Has been acting like a real bitch lately. She won't let me travel anywhere by myself and acts like I'm a damn baby! It really pisses me off. I do still love her, but she needs to drop this attitude of hers. She acts like I'm her property. She doesn't let me talk to anyone at all! I've always had to text you in secret just so she wouldn't find out." Misa sighed.
"Whoa. . . You have the same problems as me. The twins are exactly like that too." Misa reached out, taking (Y/n)'s hands, squeezing them gently.
"Really?. . . I know very well that this sort of relationship isn't good. For either of us. Maybe we should. . . Run away from them for a while? Get them to change their ways. . ." Misa murmured. (Y/n) perked up. He was about to answer when the door to the café slammed open.
Simultaneously, they glanced up. (Y/n) felt dread in the pit of his stomach when he eyed Genevieve entering. Her red eyes were full of anger as she observed the two. (Y/n) knew just how mad she'd be to see them even touching hands. (Y/n)'s hands instinctively shot down to his sides. He tried to mask his fear.
Genevieve stormed over and grabbed onto her girlfriend's shoulders. Hard. The brunette winced.
"Hey, don't hurt her!" (Y/n) exclaimed. Genevieve's eyes darkened at his words.
