As Gahyeon was eating her well-deserved pancakes in the kitchen, she tried to focus less on the lovey-dovey couple that was behind her, kissing every so often, and more on the delicious pancakes she was eating.

These are really good, Siyeon has really stepped it up. - she would note as she would take a bite out of them while holding a piece of a pancake with a fork.

Earlier in their careers, when the group had re-debuted and Gahyeon and Handong were added to the group, both of them were being watched by the rest of the members. They were carefully examining the newcomers. Since they were new additions, the older members of the group wanted to know who it is that joined them.

While Handong was noted to be the quiet one, Gahyeon was the loud and "weird" one from the two. And given that she was the youngest in the group at that time, even being younger than their previous youngest member Dami, Gahyeon's movements and behavior were more interesting to the group. Handong just stayed out of trouble.

Gahyeon's quirks and mannerisms were analyzed fully, and every time she did something new or out of the ordinary, the group would coo to see what their "little baby" had done that day.

Eating pancakes was no different.

The first time she ate them in front of the group, they couldn't stop laughing. To this day the way she ate pancakes could make someone within the group chuckle, but Gahyeon didn't budge, even with the endless teasing - eating pancakes the way she wanted to eat them was going to stay.

She wouldn't sacrifice that little piece of herself, even if she was ridiculed.

And so she sliced another piece of the pancake with a knife and fork as she looked out of the window of their kitchen. Some soft music was playing in the background as Gahyeon drifted away in her thoughts.

However, the peace didn't last long. Soon, Sua and Siyeon sat next to her.

"So, we were thinking of going to the park today, maybe for a half-run, half-walk." Sua started.

"Would you like to join us?" Siyeon then added.

"Uh... No... No, you two go and have fun." Gahyeon responded.

"Really? We kinda wanted to hang around together..." Sua claimed.

"Uhm... Nah, I just don't feel like it... I'll be in the dorm today... It's that kind of day."

"Oh... Okay... well, if you change your mind, do tell us."

"Yeah, I will."

The trio continued to eat in silence which was only interrupted every so often with someone proclaiming how the pancakes were really good, which made Siyeon proud.

They left a good number of pancakes for the other members in the dorm.

Gahyeon was eating slowly.

And she was just trying to turn her mind off as she looked outside their window. That meant she did not notice when Sua and Siyeon left the kitchen. Sua just asked Gahyeon to wash the dishes as she kissed the top of her head and slightly ruffled her hair, but not too much.

Gahyeon just nodded absent-mindedly, barely aware of what was happening. She did hear Sua and Siyeon commenting on how "cute she was when she got all focused".

Gahyeon was left inside the kitchen alone before Dami showed up.

"Mhm! Pancakes!" she spoke with a small smile on her face, her voice low. She was still waking up. Gahyeon smiled at her.

"They're really good." Gahyeon commented cheerfully, quickly squinting her eyes in delight.

"I bet they are, you made them?" Dami asked.
