Cold, cold rain fell on Gahyeon who seemed to be unfazed by it. Seemed to be.

But on the inside, Gahyeon felt every drop hit her skin and it hurt.

But the pain of seeing Sua and Siyeon kiss for the millionth time in front of her started to grow even bigger. And so she continued to walk.

At first it was a dedicated march that led her walking down the street, but as the rain progressed and the situation got worse, Gahyeon slowed down.

What am I doing? - she mused as she looked up at the sky.

I am acting like a spoiled child....

"Gahyeon!" she heard a caring and worried voice behind her. She knew exactly who it was.

On any other given opportunity, Gahyeon might've weighed her options and considered the two possibilites in front of her - running further away from the voice or stopping.

But when she heard it, she couldn't help but stop. She couldn't weigh her options because there were no options.

Jiu. - she thought.

"Gahyeon... Come here!" Jiu shouted.

Gahyeon still stood in the rain that poured onto her. She could barely hear Jiu but she knew what she said. She would recognize the words of her caring tone any day.

Gahyeon slowly but surely turned around and saw Jiu under an umbrella with the most worried look on her face.

A sadness was shared between the two as their gaze met.

"Please... Don't leave." Jiu's voice nearly cracked, she looked like she was about to cry.

And seeing her friend and leader in such a helpless and broken shape sent shivers down Gahyeon's spine, even more than the rain.

"Please... Come here..." Jiu's voice cracked this time as her lip started to quiver.

"I... I'm sorry..." Gahyeon shouted back, also barely maintaining herself from crying.

"It's okay... Just please... Come here... Don't... Don't freeze out here, I don't want you to catch a cold... or something worse... Please, Gahyeon...."

Gahyeon stood there frozen. She wanted to move but couldn't. It was like something was physically stopping her from going to Jiu under her umbrella.

"I... I'm so messed up... And I'm a spoiled brat... I can't go back..." Gahyeon shouted.

"Yes you can go back... Everyone is worried..."

"Then why aren't they all here?" Gahyeon countered. Something snapped inside of her again.

"I..."

"Why. Aren't. They. Here?" Gahyeon shouted one more time, her voice cracking this time.

"Gahyeon, it's just..."

"No...! I can't Jiu... I can't..." Gahyeon was already starting to come up with an excuse but was suddenly surprised.

Jiu started to close her umbrella.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm showing you I care. I'm showing you that at least one person cares!"

"By closing your umbrella?" Gahyeon was surprised.

"By showing you that I'm on your side no matter what! If you are going to do this, then I am here with you... I will be in the rain with you... I am your friend... But I need my friend to be here with me as well..." Jiu spread her arms and allowed more rain to fall on her. "If you are suffering, then I want to suffer as well... I want to share your pain."
