Several days passed after Rin and Togata were finally released from the hospital. Life had ceased to slow down for them, and they were permitted to attend Sir Nighteye's funeral in early October. Rin wasn't usually the one for formalities, but she still stood up at his memorial to send him a prayer as he settled into the afterlife. She thanked him from the bottom of her heart, and assured him that he wasn't only going to be missed by her.

Discussion was had between U.A. and the respective work study agencies, but in the end it was decided that they were going to wait for any further action until they figured out what to do next. Nighteye's sidekick — Centipede — took over Nighteye Agency, and awaited Togata's grand return.

As for Rin, she was left with a minor case of anemia due to her amount of blood loss, and had developed an agitating spasm in her right leg if she stood up for too long. The tremor occurred right underneath her burn scar, and she was required to make another hospital visit in two weeks for an update on her condition.

Eri regained consciousness the morning after Rin sang to her, however, no one was allowed to visit until her emotional stability was secured. She was happy to hear that Eri was awake, but the anxiety she felt to see her stayed with her through the school day.

"Hey, beautiful! How's school going?" It was lunch hour at U.A., and Rin stood out in the hall to call Togata.

"I'm feeling distracted," Rin sighed as she leaned against the wall. She stared down at the bracelet around her wrist. "All I've been able to think about is you and Eri... they're still not allowing visitors at the hospital."

"Did you go in again?" Togata guessed. Rin didn't need to answer for him to know. "I know it's hard, trust me, but we have to trust the process. We'll get the chance to see her again, I just know it. And you used your Quirk on her! There's no doubt in my mind that she's okay if you had something to do with it."

"You're right..." Rin agreed. "But..."

"No but's, babe," he cut her off. "I'll come see you after school and we can go on that super awesome date I promised! How does that sound?"

"Are you sure you're feeling up to it?" Rin asked. She heard Togata laugh.

"Trust me, I've been dying to take you out," he said. She could tell he was smiling. "I'll make it worth your while! So don't you worry about a thing, alright?"

"If you say so," Rin smiled loosely. "I'll see you then."

"Sounds like a plan," Togata beamed. "See you soon, beautiful."

"Hello, Rin!" Iida's voice elicited her to perk up as he, Deku, and Uraraka walked into the hall once she hung up the phone. "What are you doing out here all by yourself? Why don't you accompany us to the cafeteria!"

"O-oh," she pushed off the wall with her cellphone held to her chest. "Are you sure it's alright?"

"Of course it is," Deku smiled at her and held out his hand. "Come with us."

Uraraka neglected to say a word, but her cold shoulder wasn't nearly enough to stop Rin from accepting their invitation. She smiled brightly at Deku as she walked with them down the hall, and didn't miss the neutral look Uraraka offered her on their way to the cafeteria.

Her unwelcoming look stuck to her like glue throughout lunchtime, and continued to follow her when they got back to class. A part of Rin was unsure behind the reason why Uraraka was so open to distaste her, but another knew that the reasons behind her feelings were all too obvious.
