Chapter 18: The Battle Begins

Benjamin's POV

"Again", Mars yells and I hit the tree again. My fists are sore and bleeding but I don't care. No pain no gain right?

"Again", Mars says and I hit the tree and it finally falls. "That's an improvement. Took you 13 strikes in the last one. This one took you 7 strikes", Mars nods.

Naj rushes to me and takes my hand while muttering,"You're working him too hard".

"This is standard demigod training", Mars shrugs.

"I'm fine", I say already feeling the pain leave my hand. My regenerating abilities have become faster.

"What's our power level now Mars, we've been training for 11 days without straight", Saif said wiping sweat of his forehead.

"You look buff", Wilson said to Saif and Cupid whispered,"Gay".

Wilson glared at him and Mars cleared his throat. "Well let's start from the lowest", he said and looked at Asmaa M.

"Me? But I worked so hard", she pouted. Mars shook his head,"Just because you're the weakest in this group doesn't mean you're the weakest in the world. It only means these people are more powerful than you".

She sighed,"Yeah I guess so what's my power level".

"200,000", Mars said and she scoffed. "Yeah right like I'd ever be that strong",she laughed but Mars only looked at her, his eyes grey.

"Shit you're serious?", her eyes widened. Mars nods. "Damn", Lila muttered.

Mars looked at Lila,"Yours is, 345,000", he said and Lila flicked her hair. "That hard work paid off", she said.

Mars went on and we were all shocked at the power boosts.

Saif had a level of 570,000. Asmaa had a level of 700,000. Cal and Cupid had a level of 850,000.

"Okay the rest of you are in the the millions, two of you in the billions", Mars said.

"Well don't keep us in suspense", Lisa said.

"I took a look at each of you and how hard you worked. Also how much power your bodies could handle, then I split my power and gave it to each of you", Mars said.

"Why would you of all people do that?", Cal asked but Asmaa stood up.

"Isn't it obvious he's tryna make up. Why are you so fucking inconsiderate?", she fumed and Cal taken aback by her outburst, just walked away muttering something about trust.

"He'll come along", Cupid shrugged.

"Because most of you have been werewolves for a long time your bodies were able to handle a lot of power", Mars said but I remembered Naj has been a werewolf for only two months.

Before I could ask he mentioned Lisa's power level.

"59,000,000. That's Lisa's", Mars said and everyone gaped. "That's impossible", Lisa said staring at her hands.
