—& ❛CHAPTER FOUR.
the newspaper duty ❜
Abrielle knocked on the opened doors to the publisher's office. The newspapers office wasn't the busiest place. Most of the time nothing that interesting happened. They'd write about all sorts of things when they ran out of ideas such as interviews with their neighbors like teenage journalists.
"Sean, it's Bri," announced the girl, leaning against the door, arms across her chest.
"Ah. My favorite paper girl." chuckled the man. He knew her father well. It was one of the reasons he trusted the girl so much.
"I got you another little rat to tattle the crap you write."
"Oi! You speak to ya mother with that mouth?"
"Yes. Indeed." smirked Abrielle, glancing down at her feet.
The newspapers were alive because of Sean. His dream was to become a journalist and his passion was the only thing that kept the town's only source of local news running.
"You should consider that I'm a phone call away from calling your father and sending your swearing ass back to stinkin' London!" threatened the mustached man, looking up from reviewing the newest articles.
"Keeping me swearing mouth shut from now on." declared Abrielle throwing away an imaginary key after locking her mouth.
Sean sighed at her childish manners. "Ya know just 'cause I don't have any kids doesn't mean you can act like one."
