The girl never failed to disappoint when it came to her new summer jobs. Riding the bike was no problem as she regularly uses it back in London. The buses and the tube might be great ways of transport, but they never made her feel as great as a good old bike ride down to the academy.

The local newspapers wasn't that popular among the younger generations, the ones who were quick to adjust to the Internet. Besides who'd want to read the crap that got put in those papers. Abrielle couldn't argue they were the best. However the staff was happy to get a new papergirl since the last boy quit having enough of them. She seemed like the right fit for someone ultimately likable, but still have an attitude when needed.

Her shift was done and it had been just near dinner time. Her grandmother gave her a short list of things to get on her way home. The shops were on her route anyways, it wouldn't be right not to visit them.

She pedaled down the hill, cold wind blowing into her hair, sending it backwards. Adrenaline rushed through her veins, her lungs breathing in the cold air filled with salt of the nearby sea. These small moments of excitement, risk, made her feel alive. Just for a split second she felt the amazing feeling of doing something as dangerous as riding a bike downhill, perhaps the most exciting thing happening to her in the past days.

Opening her eyes to the dangers that might lie ahead, she slowly pulled on the brakes, not allowing herself to fall down and break her nose. It would be a shame.

Arriving in front of the store, she passed next to a group of teenagers. Paying no attention to them, she jumped off her bike.

"Oi! Isn't it the Rigby girl!" called one of them after her, taking a sip of his beer.
