Leaving your town

The next morning, you yawned and opened your eyes. But when you did, you gasped as you saw Sonic looking down at you. "Good morning, Cake Lady!" He smiled. "Morning...," you said, groaning and stretching.

"So hey, I wanna ask you something," Sonic said. "What's that?" You asked. "What's on your bucket list? I mean everyone has one right?" He asked. "Well yeah," you said. "But I'm not gonna die tomorrow. I'm still pretty young." "Well you may not know what's gonna happen tomorrow," Sonic explained. "I mean when you're with me, you might be getting into a lot of trouble. Your buddy is a magnet for danger."

You looked at him. "I mean I guess," you said. "Even though we aren't really buddies. We just met." "Well anyway, come on! Bucket list time! Give me your best shot!" Sonic said in excitement. You giggled a bit, and said, "Well...I'll be graduating in a few weeks.... And so I was thinking of...you know, going to a new town, starting a new chapter in my life. And you know...see what happens."

Suddenly, Sonic's mouth dropped open. He made a face that asked, "What the heck?!" You looked at him, curiously. "What? Why's your face doing that?" You asked.

"You're leaving your home?!" Sonic asked in shock. "Okay...," you sighed. "But-but-but why?! Why would you leave your home?!" Sonic stuttered. "This may be hard for you to understand, but this place is a very small town," you said to him. "It's not small! There are hundreds of people!" Sonic argued. "That's a small town, dude!" You argued back. "It's a perfect town! And what about your friends?! You're just gonna leave them?!" Sonic asked, now getting furious.

"I can still keep contact with them! But why should you care?! You're not even from here, so why should you even bother worrying?! You're just a hedgehog!"

Suddenly, a spark turned on deep inside Sonic. Then all of sudden, Sonic started turning bright blue, and before you knew it, he started forming electricity around his body!

"BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR HOME! YOUR HOME IS PERFECT! AND YOU'RE LEAVING IT! MEANWHILE, I WAS FORCED FROM MY HOME! I DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR IT! SO I'M NOT JUST A HEDGEHOG!"

As Sonic was screaming, electricity surged more and more! You stepped back quickly! "SONIC! CALM DOWN! YOUR BODY!" You cried out.

"I WAS WRONG ABOUT YOU! YOU'RE NOT THE CAKE LADY I THOUGHT YOU WERE! YOU'RE MORE LIKE...THE JERK LADY! YOU'RE LEAVING YOUR HOME WITH ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS THAT CARE ABOUT YOU! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"

You then ran back against a far wall, and suddenly, Sonic let out a huge scream! That scream caused lightening to strike in your house, causing all the lights to explode! You covered your face as you heard the banging and popping of lightbulbs going off!

After a few seconds, you panted as you slowly uncovered your face to see Sonic opening your door, bringing light into your dark house. He then looked down and breathed deeply, shaking a lot. "S-Sonic...!" You said, full of shock. Sonic turned back at you. His eyes welled up with tears. He then dropped his bucket list, and ran off, slamming the door behind him!

"What have I done...?" You asked yourself, tearing up slowly. You quickly walked towards Sonic's list, and picked it up. You saw many of the things he wrote were crossed out. But one of the things you saw was...

You stared at the sentence in silence. Then, you looked up, and ran out the door.
