"Oh my fucking god!" Jennifer shouted, attempting to run toward David's lifeless form, but Vanessa, who had a hateful look in her eyes, held her back. "Very good performance, Rallion, but your attempt to terrify us is in vain," Jace said smoothly, and at once, the corpse on the ground began to change. Black smoke poured from David's eyes, nose and mouth, a terrifying creature rising as David's body disappeared. Jennifer wiped the tears from her eyes as she watched the shape grow, afraid. Jace withdrew an Angel Blade from his belt, took a careful aim, and threw it. The blade span from end to end, slashing through the air before disappearing into the smoke, coming out the other side and hitting the wooden beam. The effect was immediate. The creature roared in pain, rising towards the ceiling and then disappearing, ash falling lightly to the ground. "The Demon of Fear is loose," Jace murmured, walking over to the Angel Blade that was impaled into the wood and swiftly removing it, sheathing it against his belt again and then turning to face Jennifer and Vanessa.
"As it turns out, you will be of some use to me after all," Jace stated, a curious expression in his eyes as he went on. "You two will travel to the Capital Building...as assassins. There is one person there who is deeply connected with Rallion, and if we are to have any chance in recapturing him, his connections need to be terminated." Vanessa bowed her head in acknowledgment, but Jennifer held her ground, eyes wide and fearful. "I can't go back there. It is where I was staying prior to coming here. If I go and kill someone, I will forever be hated by the People!" Jace chuckled a heartless sound that made Jennifer want to scream and hit him. "No, you won't, because no one will know it's you. As I understand, Vanessa touched your spirit with the Spirit of the Angel, and therefore you can complete any action in the form of the Marks." Jennifer clenched her fists, "What about David? Will he also be executed by Vanessa and me?"
Jace wore a bored expression, "No, the President shall not be killed until he is removed from power, and considering people are still searching for him..." Vanessa tugged on Jennifer's arm lightly, and Jennifer reluctantly followed Vanessa out the room re-entering the Training Room. "As you see," Vanessa said, selecting three tiny Angel Knifes off the wall and tucking them into her belt, "Jace is practically the leader around here. It took me a while to get used to this kind of lifestyle, but in the end, I assure it is for the best." Jennifer tried to distract herself by pulling a silver gun from the wall, but Vanessa gripped her wrist firmly, an indication to put the weapon back. "That is a Light Gun. Best for killing Vampires, but in direct sunlight; it can burn a hole through someone." Jennifer put the weapon away and took the Angel Blade she had used against the wolves earlier, sheathing it next to the Angel Knife. "Ok, how are we getting there?" Jennifer asked, and Vanessa chuckled, searching the wall for something.
She pressed a small stone button, which was barely visible, and the centre of the floor opened, a dark tunnel leading downwards being the only thing they could see. "What's down there?" Jennifer asked, and then she felt Vanessa's hands on her back, pushing her forwards. Jennifer screamed as she fell, but within seconds, she landed on something soft and comfortable. She looked around the darkness in panic and felt Vanessa land softly next to her, a revving sound filling her ears. Lights flickered on and a large cover slid over the roof of whatever it was Jennifer had landed. "What is this?" Jennifer asked, looking around wildly, and she noticed Vanessa sitting in a slightly higher seat, a steering wheel before her and pedals on the floor, gearsticks on her right-hand side. "This is what we call the Demon Hunter," Vanessa said humourlessly, revving the engine again, and a pinprick of light was visible out of the main windscreen. "You have your own car?" Jennifer asked in astonishment, and Vanessa shook her head. "It's more of an armoured vehicle," Vanessa answered as she pressed down on one of the pedals.
The vehicle screeched forwards, Jennifer leaning back in her seat from the shock of being shoved down a hole, and the pinprick of light became much more visible. The vehicle sped up a small ramp and onto the roof of a building, hurtling through the air before landing easily on the smooth terrain, the ramp disappearing behind them. "Can't people see it?" Jennifer asked, and Vanessa shook her head again, "We made sure that Angels directly made this vehicle. Humans and other aliens cannot see an Angel or object made by an Angel even if they were right in front of them, therefore Humans cannot see this." Vanessa drifted the vehicle onto another roof, gunning it forwards and then driving it off a large ramp. The vehicle flew for the air, Jennifer holding onto her seat in fear as it crashed onto the ground again, weaving between the cars on the main road. "Do we even have a plan for how we're going to do this?" Jennifer asked loudly, and Vanessa shook her head, slamming on the brakes and drifting the car to a stop right outside the Capital Building.
