Joe POV
I left y/n's room and started to pace back and forth. I couldn't believe y/n saw me blush like an idiot. She probably knows I like her. I mean who wouldn't ?! She absolutely perfect, her eyes,hair,lips..... "watchaaa doin?" Jason says snapping me out of my trance. "I-uh nothing" I say nervously. "Ok..so today I was planning on asking y/n out, and I need your help planning the date. " Jason says rubbing his neck sheepishly. I feel my heart shatter, piece by piece.
Jason always gets what he wants, especially if it's a girl. He seems to always like the same girl as me, and they always choose him. "I- I can't, I have things to do." I say as I make my way to y/n's room. I knock and slowly open the door. Y/n is on the floor on her phone. "H-hey y/n? I need to tell you something... f-follow me." I say. She gets up and follows me. I take her to my safe place, which is a tree in the woods behind our house. It has always been my safe place because Jason never knew about it. When we arrive, I feel nervous.
"So, I-I uhm... I'm just gonna say it." I say. She looks at me expectantly. "I like you! Like I really like you a lot. I might even love you, you're just absolutely perfect, your smile can lighten up a room in mere seconds. And don't even get me started on your cute laugh." I say, and my eyes slowly lift from the ground to y/n. She's blushing and looking down at her shoes. I walk closer, and lift her chin with my finger, and lean in. She leans in as well.
And then BOOM!
We kissed.
It was magical, I felt sparks. It felt like her lips were made for me, and me only. Our lips moved in sync, the kiss was sweet and light. I pull her in closer, and place my hand on her hip, I pull away gasping for air. She looked into my eyes, and her next words made my heart flutter.
"I love you"
