"It's Only In Harmony Hollow" Or Is It?

Chapter 19

(Graser's P.O.V)

"Where the hell could she be?!"

I paced the living room of Shelby and Liam's apartment. I'm so worried. Shelby suddenly left the aquarium and didn't even tell even tell us. It's been hours! We can't get a hold of her and the sun is about to set.

"Grase, you need to calm down..." Will said.

"I can't calm down, Will! Shelby disappeared without telling us anything! She's not even picking up her phone!" I snapped.

"Well, you yelling and pacing around won't help us." Liam said, putting his phone down.

I fell down to the couch and combed my hands through my hair. Will scooted closer and placed a hand on my back. Feeling tears bubble to the surface, I buried my face into my hands.

"We know you're worried about Shelby and of course we are too... However, we can't keep panicking." 

"I just- why would she just leave?" I turned to Will. 

I couldn't hold back anymore, tears started to roll down my face. Will didn't reply, instead he looked me at with sad eyes. I turned to Liam but he refused to look at me. However, I was able to catch the look in his eyes, it had the same sadness.

"Graser...who was that girl with you earlier?" Liam suddenly asked.

"What? H... what does this have to do with Shelby?" I stared at him with confusion.

"Forget it." He grabbed his phone and walked out of the apartment.

"He's probably gonna call her again." Will spoke up, "Just forget about what he said, okay? He was just curious."

I sighed and buried my face once more into my hands.

Did I do something wrong?

"Her phone is off." Liam said as he entered the room.

"What?" Will stood and walked over to Liam, "What happened why is her phone off?"

"I don't know either. She probably turned it off."

"We have to go find her..." I whispered.

The two of them looked at me with confusion.

"What did you say, Graser? Liam was the first to ask.

"I said..." I trailed off, standing up from the couch, "We have to go find her."

"Let's go." I said as I walked past them and open the door.

I walked out, leaving the door open behind me. I heard keys jingle and the door being shut. 

Shelby... I really hope you're okay.

We're driving down the streets of L.A. It's already dark and we still haven't found her. I can't stay still any longer.
Liam drove slowly, incase we spot her somehow. I sat in front while Will sat in the back.

We passed a beach. It's oddly bright for a place with no lights. I noticed a figure sitting on the sand. Just one person, no one else.

Wait a minute...

"Liam, turn around! Go to the beach!" I yelled.

Without a word, he turned the car around and drove fast. When the car was parked, I unfastened my seatbelt and jumped out of the car. I ran at full speed, not caring if I would trip and hurt my self. I took of my shoes and  socks when I reached the sand so I can run easily. As I ran closer, the figure became more distinguishable. My body stopped a few feet away. I was too afraid to go any closer.

"Shelby..." I whispered.

She looked at me and my heart instantly broke. Her eyes were red. Her face was pale. Her lips quivered. Tear streaks were visible on her skin. She looked so broken. Her eyes widened and then looked away.

My mouth opened but no words came out. When I looked at her, I couldn't say a thing. I wanted to comfort her so bad.

"Shelby..." I whispered once more. I started to walk closer to her.

"Stay away from me..." She whispered back.

I cocked my head to the side, confused. I took another step closer so I could hold her.

"I said stay away from me!" She snapped. Tears started to fall from her eyes.

I stopped moving. I was speechless. My heart broke into a million pieces when she snapped. Tears started to form in my eyes. My mouth opened once again but this time, words finally came out.

"Shelby... am I the reason why you left?"
