Tears welled up in her eyes, she shut her eyes and let them roll down her cheeks. The air outside flipped the wild strands of hair across her face.
It was over. Her dreams, her life, her friends. The sad part was that this time her spirit had completely broken down incapable of fighting back.
She was giving in and surrendering to her unfortunate fate. She could not save her dream.
She wept copiously. The driver stopped the car.
'Madam, I drink tea, if you want you also take'
Sanyukta was lifeless as she got down from the car.
A storm was brewing. It was going to rain hard. How she wished it rained so hard that all her troubles were wiped out.
She laughed manically. She had probably lost it. Not that it mattered now. Losing her mind would be a very small price that she'd pay compared to losing her dream.
She wandered a little further away from the car and stopped when she noticed a guy and a girl fighting.
The guy was so adamant and stubborn that he refused to see the matter through the girl's point of view.
Just like that they reminded her of Randhir and herself. All she could do was stop and stare.
Boy: You're hurt and you can't walk, don't fuss, we have to get back to the camp, I'm carrying you back
Girl: I can walk ok! I don't need your help.
Boy: Just shut up.
And he swooped her into his arms as he carried her, and started walking away from her.
Just like that standing amidst the road she was transported back to their first year when she had gone after Randhir to get him back for the YSA, afte he had quit and left college.
How he had fought for her with the goons, and how he had carried her in his arms due to her being injured.
A smile crept up to her lips as a tear slipped down her eyes.
She had no clue why everything she saw around her, reminded her of Randhir.
She was overwhelmed by the bout of emotions and also scared of the feelings that were being generated in her without her knowledge.
What did all this mean?
Why was she remembering someone who was possibly the happiest person in the world, after her departure? Why was she missing someone who she loathed? Why did she want to be with him? Why did she feel the longing and desperation that she had never felt before?
She was scared as hell. Her heart was filled with fear, an emotion she seldom felt. What was this bizarre feeling, like something was very wrong?
'Madam' Sanyukta snapped out of her thoughts when the driver called out to her.
'We have to go' he said and getting into the car.
Sanyukta silently followed him and got into the car as well.
*******
Riding out onto the road, to get his lady love, Randhir felt like a knight in shining leather from a romance novel.
He couldn't stop his lips from curving into a smile.
He still couldn't believe that he had lost his heart to the abominable girl. Where once upon a time his sole aim was to get her thrown out of FITE, now he not only needed her back in FITE but also beside him forever.
