2 Days Later
"The principal will see you now", the lady at the front desk says. I nod and calmly walk into the office. I take a seat while the principal just stares at me.
"Can you tell me why I'm here?", I ask.
"Yes... it's about that fight that happened on Saturday. I've heard a lot of people talking about it and I just wanted to meet with you about that."
"Why?"
"Because Olivia, I don't want this type of behavior at my school. You gave the girl a concussion.... doesn't that bother you?"
"Of course it bothers me Ms.Adams. I didn't even know that I went to that extreme until she stopped moving. I'm sorry that happened, but nobody, not even you, knows how long that girl talked about me... over a boy for that matter."
"And I get that. I grew up in these streets Olivia.... I know all about fighting for respect. I was doing that way before you were even born, but that's not the point. The point is, you're one of my brightest students. It's always been a pleasure to have you as a student and you have a bright future ahead, but how can you have a bright future when you gave a girl a concussion. Suppose there was a video... then what? Colleges look at these things."
"And I get that. I know that, but I'm not going to continue to sit back and get pushed over. That's not what I want for myself. I want to be a strong, intelligent, and successful woman when I'm older.... but how am I supposed to be that woman if I constantly let people walk all over me? That's not what I stand for."
"And I respect that. You're a good student and I'm willing to let this go. I just don't want to hear about you being in another fight. Think of your future... you can't let these weak and dumb kids get to you."
"You're right... Thanks Ms. Adams."
"You're welcome.....have you heard from any of your colleges yet?"
"No ma'am. Clark Atlanta, Spelman, not even Howard has sent me anything. I'm kind of scared.... what if I don't get into any of those schools?"
"Olivia, you have one of the top GPAs in this school. Your test scores are good, SAT scores are good.... maybe you could engage with more stuff at school."
"What do you mean?"
"Like clubs or something. Or be in leadership programs.... those colleges are still watching you, so it's best to try anything at this point. It's not always about grades and scores, it's about what you do in and out of school too."
"Yeah I understand..... can I leave now?"
"Yes.... I just want you to be careful."
"I will." I get up and leave her office. The last thing I need is the principal on my case about that fight. This why I don't fight people because I can't control my anger.

"Sooo now everybody wanna know about the fight? Muhfuckas wasn't even there", Yanna says eating her salad.
"I still can't believe I missed your first fight. Should've called me up because I still gotta beat her ass", Kaliyah says too.
"Man everybody already on my case about it. The last thing I need is the principal on my case. She dang near goin have me on watch now."
"Of course she is. That was your first fight and you gave Giya dumb ass a concussion. She's probably just looking out, so you won't send anybody else to the hospital."
