Crossing Through Your Dimension-DISCONTINUED FOREVER

Chapter 8

    When I got home, I had to let myself in through the backdoor, with my house key. *All right! No one's home; this will work!* I grabbed a snack, and headed to my room to do my homework. Shadow was being good, until I set him on my bed. He went crazy!

       He wanted to explore. He crawled under the covers and started squealing really loud! I picked him up and shushed him, knowing my parents could be home any minute. Shadow's little stomach started to growl, and he looked up at me with wide eyes. "I'll get you something to eat, Shadow," I told him. *He's so cute!*

      I went into my kitchen to find him something to eat. We didn't have any baby food anymore, because we were all too old for baby food. My youngest brother, Perci, was 6 years old; he didn't need to eat baby food anymore.

     I got out a can of carrots, heated them up, and smashed them so Shadow could eat them. I sat Shadow down on the table, and I sat in a chair in front of him. I spoon-fed him the carrots. He loved them! He ate the whole can of carrots!

     I was about to warm up some milk for him to drink, when the phone rang. It was my mom. "Hi sweetie!" "Hey mom. What's up?" "Your father and I just won a trip for two! We're going to Hawaii!" My mom exclaimed, excited. *Sonic must've made that happen, somehow.* "That's cool, mom," I said. "Your brother Aaron is in charge while we are gone. When Aaron isn't around, then you're in charge, ok?" "Ok, mom. Bye" "Bye sweetie! See you in a couple weeks!" She hung up.

     I warmed up the milk for Shadow. I found one of Perci's old baby bottles and put the milk in it. Shadow drank a little, then fell asleep. I sat on my couch in the living room, holding Shadow. I watched T.V. while I waited for Aaron to come home. I was watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, when Aaron got home. "Hey, sis. How was school?" he asked me. He must not have noticed Shadow yet. "Good, how about you?" I asked him. My brother is 16, two years older than me. "Fine." His eyes widened. "What is that thing you're holding?" Aaron gasped. "You're going to think I'm crazy, but it's Shadow the Hedgehog." I then explained to him what had happened. "Oh. That's...nice. Umm...ok." He was shocked to hear that Shadow and Sonic were real.

       "Oh, mom and dad won a trip to Hawaii. They won't be back for a few weeks," I told Aaron. "...ok," Aaron said, quietly. I did my homework, then went to bed at 10:00 p.m. I was hoping the week would pass uneventfully. With Shadow, I didn't know how well that would work out.
