The Encounter

Deku's POV:

Hero Deku!" A voice snapped me out of my thoughts as I turned to an eager crowd of reporters with cameras and microphones. I knew I couldn't turn them away, that would just be mean. "Yes ma'am?" I asked into the microphone, making her get all excited. I let out a awkward chuckle as she started overwhelming me with questions.

"Did you ever imagine you'd be the number 1 hero?" "Do you think of Ground Zero as a competitor?" She asked the personal questions, and I answered in a stumbling voice. "I..Uh, I always hoped I would become it since I was little!" I replied with confidence, showing off a charming smile to the camera. "And Ground Zero is a friend to me! We're all helping defeat the villains right..?" I answered with a laugh, feeling my palms get sweaty.

"One more question sir!" The woman cried, sticking the mic more in my face. "Are you seeing anybody?" I felt my entire face go red, I was NOT ready for that question. I felt myself stuttering like an idiot until I finally answered. "I uh.. can't answer that question!" I cried out with a flushed face and hurried away. Finally I lost them..

Suddenly my phone rang, I answered it hoping it wasn't another reporter. "DEKU! GET YOUR DAMN ASS OVER HERE!" The voice almost killed my eardrums. Hoping I wasn't deaf, I answered. "Ground Zero?! What's happening?!" I gasped, quickly tracking his location on my phone. "IT'S THE LOV IDIOT!" He boomed and I almost dropped my phone. The LOV... I hated them so much.. ever since two of our past classmates were kidnapped they had been silent.

I know they kidnapped them, it had to be them. I hung up and sprinted to the location, glaring at the psychotic gang of villains. I saw Shoto was here other then Ground Zero and slightly blushed. "I'm here!" I yelped, earning a glare from Ground Zero or 'Kacchan'. I stopped using that nickname a long time ago, it just pissed him off more. Suddenly Shoto paused, his eyes narrowing in surprise. I looked at where he was staring and froze.

Purple hair bounced in the wind at Shinsou himself stepped out the portal, a dark costume showing off his muscles. I could tell he was smirking even with the mask. I stepped forward, putting the finger to my lips, signaling to the heroes to not talk. "Well well well..." Shinsou chuckled, staring at me with his powerful gaze. "Look who we have here.." he laughed, starting to walk toward me.

"DONT TAKE ANOTHER STEP YOU BAST-" Ground Zero yelled but realized that was a mistake, getting frozen in place. 'No!' I wanted to scream out but stayed silent, activating my quirk in defense. "Ground Zero.. always yelling.. pathetic.." Shinsou criticized the frozen hero. "Attack Shoto." He simply said and Ground Zero charged at Shoto, the two attacking each other. Then I realized what he was doing, I was defenseless now.
