Abi's P.O.V
I pulled the blindfold down and gasped as tears welled up in my eyes. We were at my grandparents farm, but it looked different now; the house and barn had been repainted the same colours from when I was a child, all the grass in the fields had been cut and it looked like the house had had a lot of work done on it. I turned to Clint as tears rolled down my cheeks and I pulled him into a hug.
"This is where I was for those two weeks." He whispered as he held me close.
"This place looks amazing, exactly like it did when I was a child. Thank you." I mumbled into his chest.
"It's ready to be moved into; I did all of the refurbishments, with a little help, and the place has running water, electricity and gas, it's ready." He said with a smile.
"Really?" I breathed as I glanced over at the house.
"Yeah, there's also another surprise on it's way." He said.
"Wh-" I started but I got cut off by a car horn honking as the car drove up the drive.
"And there's the other surprise." He said with a grin.
He pulled away from me and jogged over to the car that had now stopped next to his truck. Attached to the back of the car was a horse box and my heart raced, he wouldn't have, would he?
"Chloe!" Clint said happily.
A brown haired girl, a little older than me, stepped out of the car and enveloped Clint in a hug.
"Hey Clint." She said, laughing lightly.
"This is Abi." He said as he pulled Chloe over towards me.
"No way." I breathed.
"What?" Clint asked quickly.
"Do you live around here?" I asked Chloe.
"Yeah, my parents own the farm just down the road from this one, Martha and Robert Richardson." She said, a frown on her face; she looked confused.
"You don't recognise me do you?" I asked.
"Should I?" She asked.
"My grandparents owned this farm, we used to play together in the fields all the time." I said with a grin.
"Abi!" She exclaimed, pulling me into a hug.
"Well at least you remembered, it would've been quite awkward otherwise." I said, making her chuckle.
"I wondered how Clint had got his hands on the farm, I didn't think I'd seen any 'for sale' signs around." She said.
"I would never sell this place, it's one of the few places I have any happy memories and it's the last thing I have of my grandparent's." I said as I looked around.
"This guy over here wanted to paint the house yellow, but I made him keep it blue." She said with a grin.
"You helped him do all this?" I asked in disbelief.
"Oh yeah, he might act as if he knows what he's doing but really he has no clue." She said, making both of us laugh.
"That's not true, I did know what I was doing." Clint said defensively.
"Keep telling yourself that." She said with a grin.
Clint mumbled something under his breath, I didn't hear it but Chloe obviously did because she smacked him up the side of the head.
"Just because you're older and bigger than me doesn't mean I can't take you in a fight." Chloe said quickly.
"Whatever Chlo." Clint said with a grin plastered on his face.
