Abi's P.O.V.
We arrived at the store just before it closed, I had already paid for my dress and Clint's suit so all we had to Dom was quickly get changed in one of the dressing rooms. Clint stepped out in his dark blue suit with his white shirt and black bow tie whilst I was wearing my matching floor length dark blue dress.
"You look amazing." He breathed before pressing a short kiss on my lips.
I looked down at my phone and saw it was already 6:50pm, we didn't have long until the party started so we were probably going to be late. I pulled him out to the limo and we set off for the tower and as we got close I pulled the blindfold out of one of the little cupboards.
"Put this on, and no questions." I said.
He looked a little sceptical but did as I said and when we arrived I helped him out of the limo, leading him into the elevator in the tower. We rode up and when we stepped out everything was silent, I caught Tony's eye and he grinned before nodding. He got everyone's attention and started doing a countdown with his fingers, on one I pulled off Clint's blindfold and everyone shouted 'surprise'. Clint's face broke out into a smile and he turned to face me, a sheepish grin spread across my lips before he pulled me into a hug.
"I was kind of looking forward to going out to dinner, but this is just as good." He whispered in my ear.
Before I could reply, people surrounded us wanting to say happy birthday to Clint or give him gifts so I stepped back, feeling a little claustrophobic, and made my way over to where Tony was stood.
"The gifts are ready." He said with a smile.
"Both of them?" I asked excitedly.
"Both of them." He said with a nod.
"Oh my god Tony, thank you so much! Thank you for your help, and for keeping this a secret." I said quietly.
"It's not been easy, Bruce kept asking what all the boxes were for and I had to make up all sorts of lies. But I'm happy you came to me for help, it means a lot more than you think." He said, pulling me into a hug.
"Come on Tony, don't go getting all soft on me now." I said, making both of us laugh.
"I left both of the gifts on your bed, I wasn't sure where else to put them." He said.
I opened my mouth to say something but didn't get the chance as Pepper quickly dragged Tony away, leaving me stood there with a frown on my face.
"Abi?" I heard someone say from behind me.
"Hey Sam." I said after turning around and giving him a quick hug.
"How have you been? It's been a while since I saw you, the last time I saw you was..." he trailed off, looking down at the ground.
"The baby's funeral was the last time we saw each other, it's okay, you can talk about it. It does still upset me a little but I'd rather people talk about him than feel like they need to walk on eggshells around me." I said with a sad smile.
"It was a beautiful ceremony, sorry I couldn't stay for very long after." He said, putting a hand on my arm.
"It's okay, I'm just happy you were able to make it at all." I said.
"Me too, anyway you never answered my question, how have you been?" He asked.
"I've been pretty good; Clint and I haven't had any problems really, and the team have all been great apart from Tony and I arguing every now and then." I said, making him chuckle.
