Chapter 4

(Dixie's pov)

I can't believe it, IM SUCH AN IDIOT! I just ran away from my best friend. Jeez Dixie get a hold of yourself. I start to slow down after I realise I got completely lost in the woods, when I was running away from the spot. I look around, there was no sign of any familiar paths. I mentally slap myself in the face after realising Addison is the only person I can't call for help. I would call literally anyone else but Addison, but she seems to be the only person that knows the woods better than me. I mean sure I knew most parts of these woods, but I just had to stumble open one of the few places I weren't familiar with. I still couldn't believe I let Bryce screw this up, without him even knowing what he did!

Flash back (Dixie's pov)

I finally was almost at the spot, I was feeling happy to see Addison again. But then out of nowhere Bryce creeps into my head. "Great" I mumble to myself. I pick up my speed once I see Addison, but the thoughts of Bryce keep lingering in my head. 'I will never be good enough for Addison, she loves Bryce.' I thought to myself. She gestures for me to sit down. Which I oblige to. I sit down and stare into the distance. I couldn't bring myself to make eye contact with her. Soon I notice tears start to form in my eyes, Addison just leans her head on my shoulder causing me to grow butterflies in my stomach. I could never meet her standards I thought. Everything was silent until Addison Whispers "Are you ok?" Right into my ear. At that moment I wanted to feel her lips against mine, but I pushed the feelings away and just replied with a simple, "It doesn't matter." All I heard back was a soft "It does to me." Those words hurt, I knew it mattered to her, but it would ruin us if I told her my true feelings.

So I lifted my head up and just smiled. But then my feelings crumbled and the tears fell. Everything else was a blur that I couldn't remember, the last words I spoke were, "tomorrow."

End of flash back (still Dixie's pov)

That was the last thing I remembered, now I am just her lost in the woods all alone. I had no way to back track, and I knew I had to contact someone. That someone was Addy. I cursed myself for being so stupid, and forgetting lost. I reached for my phone. I started at it for a bit after I had pulled it out, then I opened my contacts, and messaged Addison.

(Messages)

Dixie: Hey Addy, I'm sorry about what happened. I should have told you what was going on... It's just been hard to tell anyone really.

Addy: Hi Dix, its ok, do you want to meet up tomorrow so we can talk?

Dixie: Oh umm about that, could we meet up now?

Addy: Ok sure where are you, I'm just starting to head home.

Dixie: Well the thing is I kind of got lost. ):

Addy: Oh, ok are you lost in the forest?

Dixie: Yeah |:

Addy: Ok well, it's kind of dark, so I have a plan. I will call out your name so you can find me ok? I would go and find you, but its harder to navigate when its dark.

Dixie: Ok I will follow your voice.

Addy: Yep see you soon k?

Dixie: Yeah, bye!

(No one's pov)

Addison was calling out Dixies name for about 2 or so minuets, Addison noticed she obviously hadn't gotten too far, because of the short amount of time she had arrived back. When Addison had seen her emerge from the trees Addison started to walk towards her. "Addison I can expla-"She was cut off by Addison, who was tightly hugging her. "Let's go back to my house then we can talk." Addison said. Dixie nodded in response. They started to walk to Addison's house which wasn't too far away.
