Taehyung of the Tiga Clan

Taehyung flutters his eyes open as the bright sky hits his face. He smiles as he hears the women singing and the men helping them prepare breakfast.

He walks out his tent and everyone greets him.

"Morning, Taehyung!"

"Sleep good?"

"Is it even possible to look that good in the morning?"

He smiles and greets the clan.

The Tiga Clan is made up of about 86 people. The Chief of the Clan goes by the name Kim Seokjin, Taehyung's older brother.

His father used to be the chief but after a brutal skirmish with the Pengu Clan, he lost his life saving his men. Jin inherited the title of chief but he was still at a young and inexperienced age. Which is why, Kim Namjoon is his right hand man and advisor.

They're cousins so their relationship goes way back. Namjoon was a very smart man and he always found ways to prevent conflict and casualties when dealing with the Pengu Clan. He knew how to save resources and efficiently use every bit of food and materials they get.

Some call him the actual Chief but Jin says otherwise.

"YAH! TAE! WHERE ARE YOU!"

Taehyung suddenly flinches when he hears his sisters voice. He hides behind a wagon carrying supplies and tries his best to run away. He followed the wagon several feet and after the driver looked at him weirdly, he left it alone.

Taehyung finds himself in his usual relaxation spot. A tree near the stream which serves as a freshwater supply for the tribe. He lies on the soft grass and let's the warm heat of the sun hit his face. He just woke up but this is what he likes to call seconds.

He's not trying to fall asleep, he's just trying to relax. But knowing his clan, that didn't last very long.

"AAGH!"

Taehyung groans in pain as a heavy object just fell on his stomach. He opens his eyes widely and notices that it's not just any object, it's his sister.

Taehyung throws her off of him and yells, "YAH! YOU COULD HAVE JUST CALLED ME!" The small and white girl yells back, "YOU WOULD'VE RAN AWAY AGAIN!"

Taehyung rakes his hair back as he stares at the tiny girl fuming in anger.

Kim Dahyun, his youngest sibling and only sister. People call her a princess because of how fair her skin is but her attitude is the exact opposite. The fun and explosive girl did her best to make Jin and Namjoon's job easier while making Taehyung's life harder.

Despite having no responsibilities or work, she does everything in her power and will to make the lives of her family easier.

Dahyun says, "You have to train the cubs to hunt!" Taehyung rolls his eyes, "Please, not them."

The cubs are the youngest of the clan. The future of their family. The only cubs prepared to hunt are the Choi siblings. They were nice kids but they annoyed Taehyung. The fact that hunting should be a careful and stealthy act makes it even harder to teach them.

Dahyun holds his hand in a tight grip and says, "You promised. Now, get it over with before they run around breaking things."

Taehyung now stands in front of the three children. He says, "Introduce yourselves." The youngest whines, "Why! You know us already!" Taehyung smiles and threatens, "Introduce yourselves or I'll throw you into Pengu Territory."

The only girl speaks up, "Choi Jisu!" The middle child speaks, "Choi Soobin!" The youngest says reluctantly, "Choi Beomgyu..."

Teahyung smiles, "Good. Now, have you ever seen a bow before?" Jisu nods and says, "They're so pretty! I have a red one in my room." Beomgyu then bows and says, "I'm a master at bowing." Soobin then says, "Is it a type of bread?"

Taehyung sighs as it's going to be a long day. He says, "Nevermind. A bow is kind of too much for beginners. I'll teach you the basics of tracking an animal." Jisu raises her hand, "What's tracking?" Beomgyu then raises his, "Can we do it on people?" Soobin, "Is it possible to track bread?"

Taehyung sighs and says, "No questions until after I'm teaching. Now, let's go."

He guides them into a semi-thick part of the jungle. There's no big predators here and it's the ideal place to start off hunting. The start with the easiest animal, the rabbit.

Taehyung whispers, "Went hunting. We must be as stealthy as possible. No sounds and try to mask your scent with the surroundings." The three kids nod as they slowly walk behind Taehyung. He sees their first pray and whispers, "We're going to hunt the rabbit."

They all nod in silence as Taehyung says, "The element of surprise is our best tool. Usually, we don't use bows on small animals so we have to catch this by hand. Any questions?" Soobin raises his hand and asks, "Don't you only answer questions at the end of the lesson?" Taehyung sighs and says, "We're going to track the rabbit until we're in an ideal location. There's no big predators here so we shouldn't worry about getting killed."

Taehyung slowly follows the rabbit and looks behind him to see the Choi sibling surprisingly quiet. He then says, "Once startled, it's going to runaway as fast as it can. Since they're smaller, it'll be harder to chase it through this thick forest. So you should just give up once it runs."

The three nod again as Taehyung says, "I'm going to catch the rabbit. Just watch and learn, okay?" They nod again and he slowly makes his way to the small rabbit. In a blink of an eye, he leaps and catches it with his hands just like a tiger. Taehyung clenches the legs and holds it tightly in his hands.

He smiles as the three kids start to cheer loudly.

Taehyung then walks to the three and asks, "So, who wants to kill it?" Jisu stutters, "K-kill?" He nods and Soobin gulps, "W-why do we have to kill it?"

Taehyung chuckles at their innocence and says, "Because, to eat it we- Wait. Where's Beomgyu?" The two kids look around and shrug their shoulder.

Taehyung drops the rabbit and the small creature runs away as he yells, "BEOMGYU! WHERE ARE YOU!"

Beomgyu suddenly yells, "HYUNG! I FOUND AN ANIMAL!" The three quickly run to Beomgyu who's near a small stream which branches to the larger river just across the forest.

Taehyung joins his side to glance at the animal and his eyes widen when he sees a woman. He curses, "Shit." He quickly hides the body from the kids and makes his way closer. He presses his hand on her chest and waits for the heartbeat.

Taehyung sighs in relief and carries the girl on his back. Her weak breathing is reassuring him that she's alive. As he places her arms around his neck, a tattoo suddenly catches his eye. His glances at the tattoo on her wrist and internally gasps as it's a the blue feather.

Taehyung freezes and the three kids look at him surprised. He smiles and says, "I'm going to kill and eat this animal at my cabin. Do you remember the way back?" The three nod and he smiles, "Get back safely."

Taehyung then brings the girl into his isolated cabin a few miles away from the main camp.
