Things he does for love

Jimin and Dahyun stare at the two a bit annoyed. They gave them the spot to share and so that they could meet each other. But the two have been hogging it for several days. Jimin chuckles and turns to Dahyun, "At least they're not depressed anymore." He wraps his arm around her shoulder as she pouts, "Well I'm gonna be depressed if we don't get any alone time."

Jimin smiles, "Me too."

Another day passes and another excuse Mina comes up with. Thankfully, Jihyo and Jungkook are too busy to notice her absence. She smiles as she skips happily towards the cave for another night with Taehyung. It's near afternoon so she quickly walked to the cave.

As the sunset, Mina notices a figure walking out the cave. Her heart skips a beat as she imagines Taehyung peeking out waiting for her. She walks closer but quickly slows down as the figure multiplies. The single silhouette became three and Mina backed up slowly.

The closer they came, the more visible their features were. They all wore tiger skin around their shoulders and had small daggers in their hands. The one in the front and middle had a scar over his right eye. As soon as they meet eyes, Mina turns to runaway but it was all useless.

A heavy swing of a bola through her legs caused her to call face first with her legs restrained. Mina tries her best to untie the trap but the guy was already behind her. He grasped her hair roughly and pulled her head up to make eye contact. His face scans her body as she shivers in fear.

His eyes dart to the tattoo on her hand and she's quick to cover it. The guy speaks with his deep and raspy voice, "We're in Pengu Territory boys and it looks like this is the bitch who did this to my eye."

Mina looks at him confused as she never met this man before. He chuckles and says, "Oh, you don't know me. I'm one of the several men that were victim to Jimin's search in our lands. His search for you." Mina's eyes widen as she stutters, "I-I'm sorry."

The guy chuckles, "If you're really sorry, you'll do a favor for us." She nods her head with tears in his eyes as he whispers, "Open your mouth." Mina slowly opened her mouth in fear but as a small gap was seen, the man wrapped a rope around her head to gag her mouth.

Mina gasps with tears rolling down her face as the other two men tied her wrists together behind her back. They attach a rope to her waist and she starts to panic. Mina continues to cry and shake her head trying to make them stop but they don't.

The guy finds a nearby tree and connects all the ropes to one then tosses it over a strong branch. One man hoists Mina up and she starts paddling her feet as they leave the ground. Another man shows up with a few large sticks. Mina's eyes widen as her shaking and writhing intensifies.

The man with the scar chuckles, "This is how you pay us back, princess. We just need to... vent our anger. Don't worry, we won't scar your pretty little face."

Taehyung walks to the cave with utter excitement and glee. Dahyun scolded him for a bit saying he's hogging the spot but he quickly ran away as Jin called his sister for something. As Taehyung nears the entrance, his eyes dart to something weird.

Footprints.

He runs up to them to see a lot of them. They're way bigger than Mina's, Jimin's, or Dahyun's so it's not them. His eyes suddenly turned worried as he runs through the cave. He never brought a torch but he's been through it so many times that he memorized the way. Once he enters the room in the middle, he doesn't see Mina or any other person there. He quickly runs through Mina's way but he gets lost. He'd never pass this way before.

His worry overwhelms his stupidity and he tries his best to find a way. As the sound of trees rustling grows louder, Taehyung finds the exit.

He leaves and hears a few guys laughing. Taehyung walks towards them and his eyes widen while tears form in his eyes.

The guy with the scar sees him and wraps his arm around his shoulder, "Prince! You found the cave too!" Taehyung stays quiet as one of them men says, "Look what we found! The princess! The princess who costed our clan so many lives!"

Taehyung stares at Mina trying to hold back his tears. Her eyes are closed but he can hear her unsteady breathing. It's like the first time he saw her.

His eyes dart to the sticks the men were holding and his fists clench when he sees blood on some of them.

The third guy hands Taehyung a stick, "It won't hurt for one swing." Taehyung stares at the third guy with a death glare.

"WHO'S THERE!"

The three guys drop the sticks and whispers, "Prince, lets go the Pengu warriors are here." The three left without turning back so they didn't notice Taehyung staying. He whispers, "Cowardly bastards."

Taehyung walks up to Mina and carefully undoes the rope. He lies her on the soft grass and lifts her shirt to check her stomach. His hands start to shake as there are many visible bruises and some cuts. He kneels down and yells to vent out all his anger.

I should've gotten here quicker. I should've ran faster. I would have stopped them. She wouldn't be hurting again.

The man who called out suddenly appears.

Jungkook holds a lamp with Jihyo and Jimin behind him. His eyes dart to Taehyung who's kneeling in front of a beat up body. Jihyo glances at the body and suddenly faints when she sees her face. Jimin catches Jihyo but stares at Taehyung confused wondering what happened.

Jungkook's eyes notice the three sticks on the ground with streaks of blood on them. He nears the body to get a better look and once he looks over Taehyung, his heart clenches.

With a sudden burst of anger, he kicks Taehyung to the side with all his strength.

"MINA!" Taehyung lies on the ground crying his eyes out as Jungkook feels her pulse and breath. He carefully picks her up bridal style and yells at Jimin, "RESTRAIN HIM!" Jimin carefully places Jihyo on the ground and hesitantly walks to Taehyung.

Jungkook says, "I'll bring her back to the camp. You make sure, he never leaves your sight and bring him to the prison. I'll kill him tomorrow." He quickly runs away to the camp as Jimin makes sure Jihyo is still unconscious.

He then whispers to Taehyung, "What happened?" Taehyung looks up to meet his eyes and raises his wrist. He stutters, "I-I'm sorry."

Jimin's eyes widen but as Jihyo slowly sits up, he ties his arms in a heavy knot. Jimin whispers, "Explain everything to me on the way. I'll try my best to keep you alive."
