The Return

Taehyung runs to Namjoon and asks, "Dahyun said you were calling me? What's up?" Namjoon looks at him confused, "What? I think she's messing with you. I didn't say a thing" He fumes in anger for a bit because he made his way here in a hurry just got it to be a prank.

But as he thinks of way to kill Dahyun, his mind suddenly remembers Mina. Taehyung's eyes widen as he thinks Dahyun would be smart enough to notice he's never let anyone in his cabin for the past few months.

He quickly starts running with all his might back to the cabin. His fists clench as he notices the broken window.

With all his might, he unlocks the door and breaks into his room.

To his surprise, Mina was tied up lying on the bed while Dahyun lies beside her.

Dahyun frowns, "What's the meaning of this?" He attempts to jump on his sister to wrestle her and have her tied up but Dahyun extends her machete and says, "Don't think about it, you traitor."

Taehyung freezes and whispers, "C-can you at least get rid of the ropes? She won't runaway." Dahyun scoffs, "Do you even hear yourself right now?" Taehyung raises his voice, "Dahyun, she's in pain! Get rid of the ropes and I'll cooperate with you!"

Dahyun eyes the girl on the bed then back at Taehyung. She uses her machete to cut Mina free but she doesn't let her run back to Taehyung. Dahyun keeps her blade on Mina's neck as she asks, "Now, mind telling me why you've been hiding the princess of the Pengu Clan in your cabin?"

Taehyung asks, "What are you going to do with her?" Dahyun chuckles, "What do you think?" Mina looks at Dahyun with worried eyes as the pale girl says, "Turn her in to Namjoon so we can end this stupid war." Taehyung says, "Yah, he's gonna use her as a hostage. No doubt he's going to torture her even more before returning her."

Mina's eyes widen as Dahyun says coldly, "I don't care." Taehyung is taken aback then yells, "YAH! THE PENGU CLAN ARE HUMANS TOO!" Dahyun snorts and says, "Humans? Would you call the monsters that killed our father and hundreds of our clan members humans?" Taehyung says, "We've killed them too! This war is hurting them too."

Dahyun looks at her brother in disappointment and says, "Did she brainwash you? Or are you just an idiot? You know how many of our men died because the Pengu Clan has been searching for her in our lands?" She then looks at Mina and says, "You know how many of her people have been killed trying to the find the missing princess?"

Taehyung and Mina freeze as Dahyun says, "I'm going to bring her to Namjoon and I'm going to end this stupid war." Taehyung moves closer which causes Dahyun to point her blade at him. He says, "No, we can find another way where no one gets hurt. Dahyun, I found her half dead. She's still recovering."

Dahyun turns to Mina then back at Taehyung. She says, "You're not stopping me."

Dahyun stands and turns to Mina, "Let's go princess."

Taehyung says firmly, "Don't you dare move a muscle."

Mina ignores him and stands up. She finally speaks up, "I-I think the girl is right." Dahyun smiles, "Oh how rude of me. My name's Dahyun." Mina smiles softly, "Mina."

Taehyung looks at her confused as Mina says, "We should've done this a long time ago. There were too many unnecessary deaths and I can't live with myself knowing more will die just because I'm here scared and hiding. I'll be fine." Taehyung stares at her as he says, "No you won't be. Not everyone in our clan is as nice as I am, just look at my sister."

Dahyun sticks her tongue out as she says, "At least this princess cares about her people. It's either you move out of our way or you help me escort her to Namjoon." Taehyung sighs then looks at Mina who gives him a reassuring smile and just nods her head.

The two walk with Mina outside the cabin and head their way to the camp. This is the first time Mina's seen the outside and she's astounded. The thick forest was full of flowers and beautiful trees. The sunlight hit her face and she missed the warm feeling.

Dahyun says, "It's a long walk but we should be fine." Taehyung kneels in front of Mina and says, "Does your leg still hurt? Get on my back." Mina blushes but she follows as she hasn't walked in forever.

The three walk down the small paved path as they head to the river.

The sound of leaves rustling and whispers alarm them. Taehyung gently puts Mina on the ground as Dahyun and Taehyung prepare their swords.

"PRINCESS!"

Mina perks her head up to see a familiar face. Dahyun and Mina mutter, "Jimin?"

Jimin suddenly appears with a few guards behind him. He smiles brightly, "Finally, I found you." Dahyun says, "You're in our lands, does Namjoon know about this?" Jimin says seriously, "You have the princess, does he know about that too?" Dahyun says, "He's about to."

Taehyung notices the tension between the two. It's not all violent nor intense. They look at each others' faces like they new each other. He swears he saw Jimin wink at her.

Jimin gestures the guards and they quickly charge the two. Being outnumbered and outmuscled, Dahyun and Taehyung are thrown to the side as Jimin gently pushes Dahyun to the side he whispers, "Sorry." He then walks to Mina and says, "Everyone's been worried sick." Mina smiles, "Sorry."

Jimin places her on his back as he eyes the two, "Should we kill them?" Dahyun's eyes widen and Mina suddenly raises her voice, "NO!" Jimin flinches as he chuckles, "Wow, that's the loudest I've ever heard you but this is no time to be joking."

Mina says sternly, "No don't kill them! If it weren't for them, I'd be dead. Taehyung saved me." Jimin eyes the guy on the floor and quickly places Mina down on the ground. He moves to Taehyung and kicks him in the face with all his power then says, "Thank you."

Taehyung groans as Dahyun and Mina gasp at his violence. Jimin says, "You're handsome, so I'll stop there." Taehyung spits blood and chuckles, "You have a pretty strong kick for a small man." Jimin's eyes widen as he tries to charge Taehyung but his guards hold him back.

Jimin yells, "YAH! I'M AVERAGE HEIGHT FOR A PENGU CLAN!" The guards try to hold back their laughter as Jimin blushes in embarrassment. The guard says, "We should leave soon. We're still in Tiga territory."

Jimin shrugs them off then turns to Mina. "We'll bring you back home safely, princess." Mina just smiles as she says, "Wait, I need to do something." Jimin raises his eyebrow as Mina slowly walks towards Taehyung. All eyes are on her as she crouches down to his level. Taehyung raises his eyebrow as Mina shyly cups his face and places a lingering and sweet kiss on his lips.

Jimin's eyes widen and so does Dahyun as Mina whispers to Taehyung, "Thank you."

She then walks back and jumps on Jimin's back who's still in shock. She says, "Let's go home, I miss Jihyo."
