Grian was at the new meeting room he had built the day before, his head on it's side, on that very table, as well as his arms. The G Team's leader was at a loss, honestly very confused on Mumbo.
Cleo and Tango were sitting nearby, both given the task by Iskall to help out Grian's confusion. The two looked at eachother, unknowing of what advice to give Grian. Neither of them knew if Mumbo was a traitor or not. Grian had trusted MumboJumbo with this task, and yet it seems that trust had been misplaced.
He wasn't a spoon, Mumbo hadn't wanted to follow the orders.
'Sooo!' Tango spoke up, looking at Cleo, then at their leader. 'Got any game plans? Some of Stress' and Iskall's armor broke when they found you... uh..' He paused. ZombieCleo elbowed the blondie before looking up, a nervous smile on her green tinted face. 'I'm sure Gri's lucky that they were able to make it in time. Back on topic, we could always do our own break in?'
'They'll be expecting our own, after their.. attempt,' Grian shuttered, using his hands to push himself back upright, 'Our best tactic right now is to wait for Mumbo, if he really is still our mole we would get a report or so.'
'I would have never expected such a stern fella to get so angry about a bush.' Tango snickered, having to cover his mouth with his hand. The zombie simply rolled her eyes. 'I wonder if it would be possible to get someone neutral onto our team, then again if they didn't join then they didn't join now.'
What Cleo didn't expect was for Grian to let out a snicker, then a laugh. 'Oh, that was fun, Tango! Yeah, the whole heist was pretty fun.'
'You never quite told me how the war started, as in this heist you're referring to?' Cleo shrugged. 'Would it be alright if you would share the tale?'
'Awe, yeah!' Tango stood up in his chair. 'Randomly, Gri had asked me to come with him to Doc and Ren's stock exchange. We worked together to get though their defenses, which were easy as hell, before replacing every last diamond with either mine or Grian's head, and even breaking into Mr Creeper's office to lend him a few more of Grian's heads.'
'..Wasn't that because I didn't want to fall for Doc and Ren's trap so I lead Grian to the ghost ship with the signs?'
The trio fell silent.
'Grian!' A voice shouted from around the hallway. Grian's heart pumped, but he cooled at the realization of it just being Joehills. 'I found this book out front, it's for you.' Joe handed the book to his friend with a smile on his face.
'Hmmm' Grian hummed, looking over the leather cover. 'M-Mumbo?' Cleo and Tango looked over, Cleo's mouth opening in a 'What...?'
'He didn't betray us, this is clearly yet another report!' The leader's goofy grin was back on, him flipping open the cover. With that, Joe had left, probably to do something non-prank war related.
Sorry about the whole not warning you, Grian. That was my fault. I have more to tell you, but Team Star gets worried about these long books I'm writing, so this is gonna be brief. Meet me between the fields, 4:30 sharp. I'll probably set up 2 chairs for the each of us, something that can quickly be patched up without a trace.
'between the fields.. 4:30..' Grian had muttered, but loud enough for his teammates to hear. 'Should one of us go with you?' Cleo asked. 'This is kinda fishy.' 'I'm sure it's fine, Cleo.' Grian firmly replied, but it wasn't rude. 'It's not like it's gonna kill me to see Mumbo.'
With standing up and a stretch, Grian continued with a 'He's not the fighting type on that note.' He turned, 'Joe already left? I forgot to thank him.'
