Becky Kolawole popularly known as Illusionistic3 and nicknamed by friends as gapa was born and brought up in Lagos state on the 29th of January.
Her education isn't a topic she likes to discuss about but her favorite colour is black.
She is single and so not ready to mingle.
When asked of her hobbies, she stated; Being lazy; it's my number one hobby.
Cooking; nobody can beat my jollof rice recipe.
Reading.Writing.
Sharing knowledge and:Occasionally finding trouble, whenever I feel up to it.
So far she's written two books on Wattpad and they are;
Finding 'x': A Nigerian themed, highschool story that features Isabella Adeoti; a self loathing teenager, on her journey to finding a smart killer that drops off random mathematical equations and instructs to find the value of 'x' after a new murder has been committed and
Melanin Diaries, also a Nigerian themed story which follows the lives of Micheal, otherwise known as Almighty Mike, and Mokunfayo Badmus. While the former is a notorious criminal that wouldn't think twice about pulling triggers and killing whoever dares to cross his path, the latter is a lawyer, though not practising, and she was too damaged and broken to care about anyone else but herself. With fate intervening in their affairs, the both of them get to meet on the night of a marriage-proposal-gone-wrong and gets stuck together for the next few days.She, likes every other author has her own fair share of challenges regarding writing and when asked, she stated;
I constantly feel insecure about my babies (yes, I call them babies, don't laugh). Sometimes, most times, in the middle of writing, I feel like all I'm writing is garbage, but it gets better when I update and I see cheesy comments from people kind enough to read my book.Also, I get distracted easily when I write, a slight noise from the fan or a new message can make me forget all I intend to write. As a remedy, I write most of my chapters at the small hours of the morning, a sacrifice, but nevertheless it's worth it.
When asked what motivates her to keep writing, she stated;
I get a lot of motivations from the comment's section of my books; like I can't help the shit eating grin when I read all those kind words and character analysis I get from time to time.I like to think of my characters as real people and talking to and about them to people might seem crazy, but it motivates me, it helps me imagine and paint relatable scenarios whilst writing and I think that overrides the ...uhm… what is it called now? The dementia of it all.
A picture or prompt also inspire me to write as well.
It's impossible to be on Wattpad and know no one, she has come across many and she stated;
I can't say I've met a lot of people during my one year existence on wattpad as I am highly unsociable, but the few I've met occupies a very special place in my heart.
