: The Little Girl From The Past

The sky grew darker and the moon rose higher, yet she's there, staring blankly outside, drown in her deepest thoughts.

"You'll come back right?" the little girl ask, hoping.

He nods before patting her head afterwards, displaying his smile.

She's afraid that after he left she'll be alone again, but knowing he'll comeback she'll patiently wait just to see him again.

But he didn't..

She thought that he's just busy and he'll find time to come back, so she continues waiting.

But as time passes, the chance he'll be back is dropping down.

One night, all her hopes went up after hearing a knock in her door. The little girl happily runs to the door..

"You're back--!" , but her shoulder drop once again, 'It's not him..'

The same night, she thought..

"So it's zero after all" She sadly smile.

The little girl looked at the mirror. There she sees a little girl too, smiling yet tears are not stopping. She pity herself after seeing that, it makes her cry more.

The chance is really zero...

A knocking sound echoes in her lab that brings her back to reality.

She felt her right cheek was wet. She let a tear slipped again. She promised herself she wouldn't cry or let out a tear again after that happened. But every time she remembers her past, her eyes betrays her.

A knocking sound echoes again, she immediately wipes her right cheek before answering.

"Hakase I already told you, I'm still busy, you can sleep first" The little girl didn't bother to look back at the door.

"It's me" A familiar voice respond, "Hakase's already sleeping".

She didn't even feel the presence of the boy with glasses who has his back leaned against her door when she took a short glanced at him.

"What are you doing in the middle of the night here, Kudo-kun" She asked without looking at the boy.

"I'm already here this afternoon, you just didn't bother to go out" The boy said as he turned on the lights.

The eyes of the little girl sting a bit after the lights welcome her but didn't last long.

A moment of silence fills the room.

"I'm sorry" She heard him whisper out of nowhere.

"For what?" She ask as she turns her lab chair to face him.

"For what happened last time. I carelessly said those things, I thought you'd be mad.." The boy said looking down, feeling guilty.

"There's nothing to apologize, I didn't take that seriously too" She answered while waiting for her computer to shut down before getting down the chair.

She didn't hear any response from the boy with glasses so she looked at him with questioning eyes.

"I'm still sorry" Now he looked straight to her eyes.
