Chapter 16: Liwanag

Lance's POV

"There's this old blind woman who approached me before. Sa may Bus Stop malapit sa Maxis." Banggit ni Sean habang nakaupo sa swivel chair.

"Her face, klarong-klaro pa sa utak ko." Dagdag Niya.

"How 'bout we go to the bus stop tomorrow? Maghintay tayo dun."

"Isasama pa ba natin si Karina? She's kinda helpful and..."

"No. We're going without her."

"But..."

"Basta. We're going without her."

There he goes. Ba't pa ba kasi nasama si Karina dito eh. It's supposed to be me and Sean only. Well, Karina did helped but seeing Sean with Karina really freaks me out. I don't want her to be with him.

Ilang saglit pa, biglang nagring ang telepono ni Sean.

"Karina?" Banggit niya.

K-Karina? Talagang ginagalit ako ng babaeng to eh!

"Ha? Talaga? Sige. Lead us the way tomorrow. Salamat! Maraming salamat talaga!"

Binaba ni Sean ang telepono.

"Ansabe?"

"Karina found the old lady's hut. She's living behind the school daw!"

"T-talaga? And where did she get that info? Fake News yan. Karina thing."

"Hindi naman siguro gagawa ng masama si Karina kung alam niyang nasa Seryosong sitwasyon tayo. It's a big help."

"No. She's giving us false news. Karina loves to joke around with people. She loves doing prank. Wala na siyang ibang ginawa kundi gumawa ng masama. I don't even know why she won as the student buddy president eh ang panget naman ng ugali. 'Yang tulong na binibigay niya, it's just a prank."

"Lance what's happening to you? Why won't you be grateful? Tinutulungan na nga tayo ng tao tas pag-iisipan mo pa siya ng masama? I may not know her very well but I know, this time, she's sincere."

"It's just..."

"You're desperate of swapping our bodies. I am desperate too. False man o hindi, we must take this chance."

D-did Sean just got angry?! O-oh. I'm doomed. Why did I do that!

"She's coming with us tomorrow." Dagdag niya. Agad siyang kumuha ng unan at kumot sa kama at agad na dumeretso sa Sofa upang matulog. He covered his whole body with the blanket. He's angry at me. AAAAAAAaaa.

Kumuha ako ng kumot at unan sa kama at inilatag ko ito sa sahig malapit sa sofa. He looked at me.

"Anong ginagawa mo?" Tanong niya.

"Aba'y matutulog."

"Eh ba't sa sahig? May kama ka naman."

"Aaaa— Gusto ko Lang. Ba't ba?"

"Ewan ko sa'yo."

Agad siyang tumalikod at binalot na naman ang sarili niya sa kumot.

"I'll turn the lights off na."

Hindi siya sumagot. Ayaw niya kasi kapag nakapatay ang ilaw. Gusto niya lights on palagi. Is he sleeping already? Nah. I bet he's still angry.

"Iooff ko na talaga."

Hindi parin siya lumilingon.

"Final na. I'm touching the switch already."

Hindi pa rin.
