A/N:
Just for the sake of this chapter, it's in Melissa's P.O.V
I might do more chapters which need to be in other peoples P.O.V's so yeah
I stood on my balcony facing in the opposite direction of the light breeze that was the wind. It played with my thick, chocolate brown, curly hair until it got tired and picked up some muddy leaves, blowing them elegantly in wavy lines just above the ground, then it rested and the leaves sailed to meet the ground daintily and slowly.
I wasn't sure how I felt about Ryan anymore. He couldn't play me. Only hot level ones played girls. Why did I ever like him? A tear tried to ease itself through my eye but I blinked it back furiously. Ryan was past. But Lee could be future.
When Lee jumped into my mind like a cat on a mouse, I tried to control myself. LEE, the cutie, had asked me out! And I, Mia, turned him down? What a fool I was. He had a girlfriend now, but, using Mia power, I could make him fall for me again so he could be all mine. Then what would Ryan say? Hmmm? Stop it Mia, talking to myself again!
The next day, Sunday, I saw Lee waiting on the park bench that me and Ryan sat on. It was likE a special teen-couple-bench, no one else used it, and old people were shooed off by teens. I sat next to him lightly. He didn't mind, because he didn't know my PLAN. After a while, I stared into his eyes mysteriously and he finally responded. "Yes, okay! Why are you doing that?" he demanded, with a playful tone to his voice.
I curved my lips into a smile. Or the best one I could do. "Ryan played me," I admitted sorrowfully and sadly, then tilted my head sideways. "With a girl called Violet from another school." I looked down for a minute to emphasise the shock that I had already put past me, before staring back at his eyes. He nodded but didn't say anything. "Anyways, what is you doing here? It's a couple bench."
He raised an eyebrow. "You see, I'm waiting for my adorable girlfriend. You should see her. If you were me, you would die from her." I looked kind of upset, feeling upset as well.
"When you asked me out, did you ever actually like me?" I asked in a small voice. He looked astonished.
"Girl, I see. A guy played you and you want me." He pointed at himself and winked. I nodded sheepishly.
"I bet you'll be the sweetest guy ever to your girl. You'll be really loving and kind and true and faithful and honest and try to impress her at every turn. You'll NEVER play her and each kiss will be full of passion. You'll protect her and stop guys from trying to force her to hand her over to them. You'll attend to her like a slave but she'll treat you like a... Well, dur, her boyfriend."
Lee stared back into my eyes properly for the first time that day. "Well, I'll see. You seem cute, and maybe you shouldn't have turned me down that day. If you're totally like this and worth it, I'll break up with Hadley."
I did a victory dance and hugged him, he kind of hugged back. "Today, three, my house," he murmured. Yessss! Was it a date or a visit? I dunno, but I knew it was gonna ROCK.
At three, I rang Lee's doorbell excitedly. I was wearing a reasonable amount of makeup, including bright red lipstick (not too much ok) which was essential for butterfly kisses. I was even wearing the dress that those level ones wore, and tights underneath. I didn't want to show off my figure, mainly because I didn't have a good one... Mind you, I don't mean I was fat, I mean k was a bit too skinny... Oops?
He opened it and I hugged him tightly before anything. His mum came and saw me, then she said, "Lee, Hadley." I let go.
"Sorry, Mrs Lee, that was my fault," I muttered, blushing. What else should I call her? "We're friends. Mate hug!" Then I made this face: :D and she looked at me like this: O_o while Lee did this :3
Lee took me into his sitting room and his mum disappeared into the kitchen. He had hung mistletoe above the sofa, on the ceiling. It looked odd, but in the dim, golden light, romantic. Lee's face was inches apart from mine.
"So?" he asked softly.
"So..." I didn't finish, I just came even closer and did what had to be done. It was amazing. Lee was taken by surprise, but he kissed back gently. His mum entered the doorway so he stepped back hastily.
"Do you really need to express love that way?" she asked.
"You and dad did. And you let Hadley," Lee replied. "Melissa you better go now."
He was right, without a word, I left with an innocent smile aimed at her. Boy was he in big trouble, which was worth it.
So, was he going to be my boyfriend or stick with Hadley, like his mum would like? It didnt matter now, the Kiss was all I needed.
