Shannon's P.O.V

I was happy when I was back in school, my friends forgave me for... you know. I told them. It all ended when Melissa was back in my face.

"Sorry," she said, trying to hide the smirk which was obviously widening.

"Second chances?" I pretended to look at an imaginary clipboard on my hand. "Hmmm, I don't have that option on the menu." I glanced at my friends for support. They nodded encouragingly.

"No, not that you idiot. It's because of Lee, that he likes me more than you. A lot." She moved a step closer and I stepped back.

"That's old news," I replied, shrugging. After our kiss, my mind kept drifting back to when he asked her out and I'm... kinda, not over it?

"No. We went on a date. He... kissed me." Melissa wasn't sure what face to make as she said this so she found herself looking at the floor and avoiding my eyes.

My eyes widened. I didn't care if she was lying, 99.99% of me believed her. I cried, burying my head in my hands and absent-mindedly kneeling down on the hard floor. He was the only guy I had. I thought he was over her, really. He just wanted a lover to burn (🎶ed sheeran🎶). Or maybe he kissed me by accident. Right now, all I wanted to do was face up to him...

That's what I did. Face to face. "I can't believe you went and kissed Melissa. You... player," I cried angrily. I didn't know what else to do, so I just stamped on his foot. It was lame, but yolo.

He scratched his head guiltily. Oh my - he looked so cute. "She kind of kissed me... And I don't like her, don't get me wrong. Oh my god I remember, I need to kill myself now," he added for good measure. I stepped closer but surprisingly he did too, at the same time. I don't know if he was gonna fight me or comfort me.

"This isn't helping," I hissed in a deathly quiet voice. We each took another step closer, me in bitterness and him in... I have no idea why.

"Maybe this will," he replied softly, kissing me and hugging me close. I didn't fall for it, and pushed him away. We were still only inches apart. He stared at me in disbelief.

"No, it didn't," I replied firmly, but before I knew it he had me again, but he had a strong grip on me this time, and didn't let me slip away. I kissed back, because I do the stupidest things when I'm angry. I'm so stupid...

While he was pulling back, he kind of lingered on for a second, before I turned on my heel and walked away without another word. It was so ironic, me chasing after him and him chasing after me. Yeah? Well I'm threw that crap in the bin, where it belongs. Well, maybe not but I'm gonna act like I did. He can't like three girls - me, Melissa and Hadley. If I were him I would go for... Blair.

"Hey Blair!" I asked, smiling and running after her. It was after school.

"Yo?" she replied, spinning around swiftly.

"Ever thought about switching places with your twin one day?"

She raised an eyebrow and asked, "Twin?"

"Hadley," I answered, confused. How could you forget about a sibling?

"Yeah, that girl." Blair nodded. "Nope, why?"

"Leekissedmeandmelissabuthesgoingoutwithhadley!" I exclaimed. Whoops, it all came out too rushed. She looked confused, so I took a deep breath and replied. "Lee's a player. He's kissed me and Melissa in the past week and he's going out with Hadley. I think you'd be better with him, since both Melissa and Hadley are stuck-up idiots and I've gone off him."

She gaped. "No, no way. He's a cutie and all but not me."

"Ok, just asking." I gave her a weird look. Any girl would kill for this opportunity. Then I had my suspicions about her. If I was right...

I walked towards my house and someone called my name. It was Blair again. "What?" I asked, turning just my head around.

"Lee dumped M- I mean Hadley. She told me." I jumped up and down in my head. If he didn't like Melissa, we could go out! Yaaayy! I clapped my hands and imagined us lying down on a beach at night, gazing at the sparkling stars. Standing together on a high cliff at sunrise. Holding hands sitting on a boat which was gently drifting down a never-ending lake. Leaning towards each other while having a romantic picnic in a deserted park, then the oddly familiar feeling of his l-

I woke with a jolt. I was lying on the couple bench beside Lee, who was sitting normally. Blair had disappeared. "So, you don't like Hadley do you? She had to leave," he asked.

"No, that's her twin Blair," I muttered, sitting up.

"Oh. She never told me about a twin," Lee replied. "I broke up with her anyways. That's why Blair said you fainted." He smiled.

I blushed. "Whoops." Then I remembered what I was picturing in my head and blushed even more. "Were you kissing me?"

Lee looked at his sneakers, embarrassed. "I might have been."

"Lee!" I yelled, kicking his foot gently. He just stared straight ahead of him with a slight smile, putting his arm around my shoulders.

"I know how to get girls. Believe me, you were the hardest."
