"Calum! Hey Calum!" I call out. I knew he was sort of...'friends' with this mystery boy for...holy shit.
I didn't even know this fucking girls name. I was hunting down this dude's 'sorta friend' just to talk to him to convince him to go on a date with this chick I had a massive crush on so this girl would just to talk to me. And I didn't even know her name.
The boy, Calum, turns quickly. "What?" he asks as I jog up to him.
"Hey your friends with that one guy right, um...tattoos...purple hair?" I ask cautiously. I only knew Calum because he had been going to my school since year 7, but I had never talked to him before.
"Luke? Uh, sort of. He kind of hates everyone, but yeah, we talk sometimes. Why?" he asks. I'm actually really surprised he didn't just tell me to fuck off.
"Well, I kind of promised this girl...something. I just need to talk to him." I state.
Calum smirks, "What'd you promise this girl?" I feel my cheeks go red and I stare down at my shoes.
"Well, she likes him, a lot. So I told her I was friends with him and that I'd get him to go on a date with her...I don't know why, it just sort of slipped out." I ramble.
"You must be really whipped." he smiles, his eyes crinkling at the edges, he was a lot nicer than I thought.
"I guess..." I mumble, my face probably resembling a tomato.
"Hey, I'll talk to him, okay Michael? But no promises..." he lightly pats my back.
"R-Really, you will?" I ask, full of hope.
"Yeah, I will, I'll see you later okay?" he walks away, leaving me beyond happy.
Maybe I hadn't completely fucked up after all.

I was roughly shoved against the school's brick wall on the way home.
"What the fu-" I closed my mouth as soon as I saw you the culprit was. It was Luke.
"Michael." he states, bitterness exposed on his face.
"U-Uh yeah I-"
"Yeah Calum told me, you want me to take this chick on a fake date? Are you fucking with me?"
"What? No, why-"
"Who told you...is this some kind of joke, are you just fucking with me?"
"I don't know what you-"
"Who the fuck told you." he deathly says. I just stare at him with wide eyes. "Seriously...how did you find out?" he asks softer, releasing me. What the hell was he talking about? What was he hiding?
"Luke I-" I was going to tell him I had no clue what he was talking about.
He pinned me back up against the wall and kissed me.
Luke was gay.
He pulled away quickly, not looking at me. "S-Sorry." he breathed. "I just, um-sorry." he whispers turning and basically running away from me, leaving me shocked.
