"Hi." I chirp, sitting across from the girl, whom I still didn't know the name of. Apparently, no one really does. I asked a few people, even pointed her out, it was as if no one knew her name. She had the same book as the day before. But instead of an apple, she had a bright green pear.
"Did I say you could sit there?" she asks, not glancing up.
"Sorta." I shrugged. She tears her gaze away from her book and raises her eyebrow at me.
She stifled a laugh, "Oh, so you got Luke to go on a date, with me? Yeah right." she huffs, returning to her book.
Why would she take as such a surprise? This girl was incredibly gorgeous, and she just seemed so cool. The real kind of cool, the cool kids that don't even realize they're cool. It just how they are, they don't even try. I'm sure anyone would go out with her, only Luke wasn't exactly, 'playing for her league.'
"Why wouldn't it be true?"
"Why are you answering my question with another question?"
"Why are you?" I fire back, a slight smirk playing on her blood red lips. It was a certain mixture of sexy and intimidating that nearly made me melt.
I was about to answer her, tell her the complete truth, when I was saved. Luke sat down right next to me, across from this girl.
"Hey." he said in the most casual way possible, as if this a normal everyday thing. I stared at him with wide eyes, what the hell? Looking at the girl with red lips as her mouth hung lightly open in shock. Luke just began to eat, not even noticing her stare. She looks at me with the same shocked expression and I try to look as if I knew exactly what was going on, though I didn't have a clue.
Luke eventually looks up, seeing her fidgety manor. "What?" Luke questions, looking from me to her.
"Um, nothing." I say awkwardly, beginning to eat my lunch.
"So, where would you like to go on our date, um..." Luke pauses, oh my God. He was going to do it? Thank God.
"Luna." she says quickly, "I'm Luna." she smiles. Luke smiles as well. I had never heard a name that suited a person so well. It was perfect, and somehow it made me look at her differently. In a good way. If anything, she seemed even more beautiful.
Luna."So, where would you like to go?"
"O-Oh, um. I don't care, w-wherever." she stutters which was honestly so adorable. Suddenly, I was jealous that I couldn't make her stutter like that.
"Cool, is diner okay? Then maybe we could go to this..um, place after? If that's cool?" he asks, he seems a tiny bit nervous. It makes me question a few things, he really seemed like he was flirting...not just pretending.
"Yeah, yeah that sounds nice." she grins.

"Dude, what was that?" I ask as calmly as possible once we get out of the lunch room.
"What?" he asks, seeming a little taken back.
"Well for one thing, you kind of kissed me yesterday. Then, you randomly show up during lunch and start flirting with Luna!" I say in a hushed voice. I was actually beyond pissed at the moment, not really caring if Luke could beat my ass.
"Fine then." he states coldly before he shoves me against the lockers and kisses me, again. I quickly shove him off.
"Dude-"
"What the hell?!?" a very angry Luna storms over to us.
"Just go with it." Luke whispers to me.
"O-Oh, Luna, hi." Luke stammers.
"What the fuck was that?" she asks shooting daggers at me.
"Fuck, did you just see that? Shit, Luna please don't tell!" he begs. "I just, I'm gay," he whispers, "Michael wanted me to ask you out, and I just-I really like him. I didn't want to disappoint him. I'm sorry, he had nothing to do with this. I actually just told him my feelings and I sorta kissed him." he looks down as if he was ashamed.
"I'm so sorry Michael." he looks at me with a fake sad look, "I-I'm sorry. I need to go." he sends me a wink before he runs down the hall, fake tears building in his eyes.
"Holy fuck." Luna breaths.
"I'm just as surprised as you are." I lie.
