Chapter 5

"Shut up! It was not funny! Stop before I-" before finishing her sentence, Tsubaki's phone rings loudly, it was Rachel. Quickly answering the phone call, Rachel yells through the phone loud enough for the others to faintly hear, "There was a loud explosion nearby!! Come over to the park a few blocks down!! Hurry!!" Tsubaki's eyes quickly shifted up to look through the window, there were people outside running away as if they were trying to escape something...or someone. Without hesitation, Tsubaki kicks her seat back and races outside, heading to the park nearby, the three boys all run behind her. "What happened?!" Mason yells as he catches up to her. "There was an explosion nearby where Rachel and Josuke are!" They all sped up and just ahead was a pile of destroyed cars that are now blocking their way, Hiro steps up to the pile and uses his Push arm to move some of the cars, "Mason, use your quirk to lift up some of these! There's people trapped under the cars!" Mason nods, extending his arms out at the trees that are on the other side of the pile. All the tree branches grow longer, wrapping around the cars and slowly lift them up from the ground, holding them up in an arch shape. Using his Pull arm, Hiro pulls people out from underneath, Rudolphe helping him by picking up injured citizens and getting them to safety one by one. The more time the branches had to hold up the cars, the weaker they got, Tsubaki notices it before Mason does. She runs up to the cars, Mason yelling at her to stop but she ignores him and places her hands on one side of the cars, completely freezing them in place to prevent them from falling, "If I didn't freeze them they would fall back down!"

After rescuing everyone, Mason decides to use his phone and alert the pro heroes while the other three run ahead to meet up with Rachel and Josuke, "Are you guys ok? We had to move cars out of the way and help some people." Tsubaki tells Rachel, "Yeah, we're fine. We didn't see who's causing the trouble so we should look around" she responds. Tsubaki agrees but soon notices a shadow appearing above them, it was a large city bus hurling towards them. "Get out of the way!" Tsubaki exclaims, pushing everyone away with a large wave of water and quickly catches the bus in a large bubble of water before it could crash on her. She freezes the water, Hiro and Josuke help her to throw it to the side, landing on an open grass area. Tsubaki couldn't believe what just happened but she was glad to react fast enough before her friends got hurt. "Let's head to the direction where that came from, Tsubaki where did you see it coming?" Rudolphe asked, dusting himself off. "It looked like it was just ahead." They all began running towards the direction Tsubaki pointed out, hoping to find whatever or whoever is causing the chaos in the city. Using his Pull arm, Hiro scales a nearby building to get a better view of the situation. Turning to face where the others were headed, he narrowly dodged a large chunk of rubble, "HOLY-" he screamed as he dodged to the side.

A big, six-foot-eight tall man with a massively hulking body figure clenches his fist and smiles mercilessly under his fancy orange mustache as he looks at the damage he has done. "Whoopsie daisy there," he spoke with his sinister Australian accent. He keeps his grin as the veins throughout his muscular body starts pulsing intensely. "That's one big boy...I think I found him, guys!!" Hiro announces out to the others, pointing in his direction and jumping off to join them. Rudolphe pays attention to Hiro and looks over to see the humongous man that his partner had described. "Gee whiz! What is this guy on?!" He draws a hand of cards from his back pocket and breaks a sweat on his face just by looking at the man. Tsubaki stops at the sight of the giant man ahead of them, "Where the hell did this guy come from?" Her hands clenched into fists causing her arms to be covered in ice, "We have to stall him until the pro heroes arrive."

"You little niblets don't look like much of a threat!" The muscular man folds his arm and stares down at the freshmen. "It ain't too late to run back to mommy, now! Run along. I don't feel like murdering children!" His thundering footsteps draw him closer to the students, who grow more fearful of his towering height and aura. Rudolphe fixes his hand to only have about two cards, he breaks into more of a sweat the closer the man got to them. Mustering up the courage, both Rachel and Hiro step in front of their friends in an attempt to stop the villain, both cracking a wide smile. Looking at the two who are stepping forward, Rudolphe raises an eyebrow and mumbles, "Are you kidding me? This ain't the right time to make crazy bets..." Tsubaki chuckles, stepping forward next to Rachel and glaring at Rudolphe, "Looks like someone is scared of big guys." Mason soon stands beside Tsubaki, Josuke joining them. "Tch...I'm not scared. I just don't wanna bid anything too high, you know?" Rudolphe steps forth and joins his classmates, his hand of cards still ready. "This is what we've been training for after all, don't wanna disappoint the teachers" Hiro says, readying up his left arm. "Future heroes aren't ya? I can imagine you're from U.A...In that case, now I don't mind breaking you!" the villain shouts, raising his fists up to smash down onto the students. Hiro quickly activates his Push quirk, causing the villain to be blown back a little, while a trail of ice races towards the man, Tsubaki rushing in an attempt to freeze him solid and dodging his attacks. Mason extends his arm out to his side, a rose bush nearby grows into a long rose whip, landing in his hand, he lashes it towards the man's arms to tie them tightly to prevent him from attacking any further. The sharp thorns poking into his skin. Rachel sent many attacks towards the villain as Josuke was blocking the debris and guiding civilians to safety.
