It's been a week since Tsubaki submitted her application to U.A. High. She was walking home from school when she received a phone call from her mother. "Hey, honey I have amazing news!" Tsubaki's mom said gleefully. "What is it mom?" the young student answered curiously. "Congratulations, you're going to U.A. High!! I made your favorite to celebrate. Hurry home!" she said as she hung up. Ecstatic, she ran home overjoyed at the thought of going to the number one school where the best of the best graduated. Walking down the street to her house she hummed happily walking by the high school daydreaming. A short girl with shoulder-length wavy hair bumped into her. "Watch it, moron.," she growled glaring at Tsubaki. "Oh. I'm sorry!!" Tsubaki stuttered, walking off a little startled. "Who was that girl? Why was she so annoyed..?" Tsubaki thought to herself walking into her home, greeting her family as she walked in. They all ate happily until her dad made it home. Angry and outright irritable proceeded to drag the young girl away from her celebratory dinner with her mother and older siblings. She's been training with her father ever since her quirk manifested. In this day in age, about 90% of the world's population is born with a quirk while the remaining 10% is born quirkless. After her training section with her father, she proceeded to freshen up and go to her room. The written exam was in a couple of days so she had to study hard. As she was writing her notes her mind wandered off to the short stack she ran into. A little agitated, she finished her notes and headed to bed.

After a week of focusing on her studies for the written exam, it was time for her to focus on the main part, which was the practical test. The new students had one week remaining to get more practice in before the test to improve their skills more. Tsubaki decided to take this time to train by herself without letting her father know, due to how strict he is with her training. She mainly focused on her water quirk since her father only trained her to use her ice quirk, he finds her water quirk useless, making it a good motive to prove him wrong. The following morning, while waiting for her father to leave, she began to change into her training clothes to go train at a river not too far from her home. Just a few minutes later when her father leaves, she runs downstairs to talk to her mother," Mom, I'm going to go training by that river you took me to before. Between us, right?" Her mother smiled, nodding at her,"Of course, just be careful!" Tsubaki quickly nodded as she rushed to put on her shoes and ran out of the front door to get in as much training as she could.

Shortly after arriving at the river, Tsubaki quickly began her training off with basic moves with her water quirk that her mother taught her. After hours of training, she was ready to attempt one of her few special moves that combined both of her quirks. Using a small part of the river, she forms a wave three times her size but reaches her limit causing her to lose control of the huge wave of water, crashing down on her and another girl who was walking by.

After having yet another disagreement with her family about her dream of becoming a hero, Rachel left her family home in hopes of distracting herself through her training. Walking down by the river she was met with the most unexpected thing. Drenched from head to toe she looks at the source of water fuming with anger. "You dumbass why the hell you do that?!". The sweet girl looked distraught by the harsh words coming out of the leprechaun. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to lose control... I reached my limit and I hadn't realized what I've done..." fuming, she stomped to a nearby convenience store to buy a towel and dry herself off. The girl followed, worrying and apologizing to her repeatedly. "Look! I get it! It's fine!!", Rachel growled. The gentle girl stepped back uneasily, "Alright, but you don't have to be so rude about it. Your friends must get annoyed with you constantly blowing up like that..." Rachel stood there silent, a soft yet sad expression appeared on her face. "What are friends? I don't have any..." Rachel mumbled, walking by Tsubaki. "I have to train... watch where you shoot your water, lady..." Tsubaki puffed her cheeks and answered, "My name is Tsubaki, not lady.." Rachel stopped in her tracks and looked at Tsubaki, "Rachel... I'll see you around Tsubaki..." she then sped off, confused. Running back to the river, Tsubaki was a little nervous upon seeing two boys now training in that same area. Brushing them off, she found an empty area to work on her moves for the practical test.
