I woke up early the next morning and put on my favorite sweatshirt and shorts. I headed out to the dock and sat on it. My phone had gotten many messages but I ignored it. The sun wasnt up yet but I was unable to sleep. I walked back into the house hoping that I would be able to finally sleep.

Eventually I must have been able to finally sleep as I had woken up at 9 to a knock on the door. I put my sweatshirt back on and went to answer it. I opened the door to see Sarah in a baby blue romper looking back at me. 

"Ella, thank god I was hoping you would answer" 

"What do you want?" 

"Look I know you hate Rafe right now but I really do but Rose and my Dad will hate him even more if they find out what he did. I know its not my place but I dont think either of us want that right now considering they kicked him out last night for other reasons. You two dont have to pretend that you are in love or anything, I will hang out with you every second"

"Sarah I dont know"

"Look I promise that I wont leave you alone with him, please do this for his sake" 

"Fine, but if I get left alone with him im not doing any more loose favors"

"Deal okay, Ill meet you in the car" 

I changed into a teal bikini and put on a yellow cover up dress over it. I put on my birkenstocks and took out my braid bun from last night, I brushed out the curls a little bit and put it up into a ponytail. I then grabbed a bag and put my phone, camera, waterbottle and sunscreen in it. I headed out the door and got in Sarahs car. We got to the Cameron house and got out. 

Rafes POV

"Ella I thought you werent gonna come, im so glad your here" Rose said making me turn to see Ella and Sarah walking up to us. 

"I overslept so Sarah came to get me" She hugged Rose and looked at me. 

She obviously wanted nothing to do with me. We got on the boat and drove to the spot where we always spend the day, the boat had our sea-doos on it and other swimming stuff. It was a secluded area that had lots of area to swim and hang out. Ella sat next to Sarah on a chair which was across from me. Her and Sarah had been taking pictures and having fun. Sarah then left and I was alone with Ella.

"Can we um talk at some point?" I looked at her. 

"There is nothing to talk about" She laid down her towel on the chair. 

"We need to talk about us"

"Rafe, there is no us" She looked at me as Rose and my Dad and Sarah came out. 

"So Ella I hear you are into art" Rose said sipping her wine. 

"Yeah, photography is my specialty" 

"Really?  What do you photograph?"

"Just random things that capture my attention. I like to photograph things that are important in our lives and my life"

"Wow thats so interesting, how did Rafe ever end up with such a good girl" She laughed. 

"Rafe and I are friends" Ella said with a smile 

"Oh really, but werent you two kissing at the country club yesterday?" My Dad looked between us. 

"Dad" I looked at him. 

"Why dont we go on the sea-doos" Sarah said getting up. 

Ellas POV

Sarah got on a sea-doo with Wheezie which left me with Rafe. He threw me a life jacket and I put it on. I got on behind him and he started to go. I did not want to put my arms around him but obviously I had to for safety reasons. We rode off far into the distance where he stopped and turned off the sea-doo. 

"What are you doing?" I asked as he took off his life jacket. 

"Swimming" He looked at me. 

"Rafe no I-" He then jumped into the water. 

"You gonna join me or what?"

"Rafe I want to go back to the boat" 

He went underwater and came back up looking at me. 

"Look I want to talk to you"

"No, I came to help you not look bad in front of your Dad and Rose, not for you to try and brainwash me"

"Im not brainwashing you Ella, I want to tell you the truth" 

I stood up trying to start the sea-doo and then fell in. 

"You okay?" I opened my eyes to see Rafe holding me, which I quickly moved out of. 

"Rafe dont touch me!" I raised my voice. 

"Ella please just give me one second to explain"

"There is nothing to explain, I was just a bet right? You agreed to that bet?"

"Yes, I did agree to the bet but that was before I really knew you. When we started to hang out I liked you Ella, why do you think that first time when it almost happened I didnt let it?  I didnt want you to get hurt I knew they would pull something like this. I agreed to the bet because I didnt want either of them to get to you first, I knew they would hurt you"

"Dont say those things Rafe, you played me"

"Ella I like you, I like you a lot"

"Stop lying to me"

"Im not lying Ella! You are the first girl that I have ever felt this way about, I was changing because of you, I wanted to change because of you"

"But you didnt Rafe, I want to go"

"Ask Sarah, she knows!"

"Can we go?" 

We got back on the sea-doo and then rode back to the boat where I got off. 

"Well I think we should go back to the dock now" Rose said as Ward started the boat and went off. 

We got back to the Cameron house where I then called Kiara to come get me. As I was about to leave Sarah came up to me. 

"Hey Ella"

"What?"

"Thank you, I had a fun day with you and I know Rafe appreciates it"

"Did he tell you he liked me?" I asked and she looked down. 

"Yes, he did. He really felt bad about the bet and didnt want you to get hurt and I know you dont have to believe me but I dont like Rafe Ella we dont get along but Im telling you this because you have changed him and I want to see him as a better person, you are the only person who can do that" Kiara then pulled in. 

"Have a good night" I said getting in Kies car. 

Kiara and I sat by the pool while we got home. 

"How did it go?" She turned to look at me. 

"Honestly im not sure"

"What do you mean?"

"Well I mean it was okay but Rafe he said that he liked me and thats why he didnt want me to find out and from what he said I mean it makes sense Kiara but I just dont know what to believe" 

"Ella I know you like him, and from what I can see he has changed"

"Why do people keep saying that!"

"Because its true, Rafe has never committed to someone like he has you, he is changed"
