Move Jake, MOVE!

Again and again, I shoved desperately looking for her. She's my responsibility and I was supposed to be there to help her out. Yet stupid me, digging a hole without a ladder to get out of it. This is going to be a perpetual search if I don't pull my act together and pinpoint her location.

Slow down there, Jake. Identify your surroundings and all will be fine. I can't be desolated, negative about my chances of finding her. I looked around, she was no where to be seen.

"STOP RIGHT THERE! Move and I will shoot." the tall lean cop bellowed, his face purple from the dizziness and the constant running. So many options to take, so little time. I can either run, and ditch her. That's not so promising at all. The doubt kept me from getting the clear image of my actions and it's consequences.

My mind continued screaming either ignorant or risky ideas. If I slowly move towards him and give him the impression that I surrounded, I'm sure he'll let his guard down. Keep it smooth Jake, don't be an idiot. Screw this up and that's a lifetime in jail, a whole life with the fear of getting raped or bashed to death. A fear you can't withstand, approach him, assure him or even mock him and make him nervous. He is bound to let his guard down.

"What the fuck are you going to do? Shoot me, in a crowded facility? I doubt that would be safe officer. We don't want you to injure any unnecessary civilians." I replied with a tone of calmness. His lips began to tremble and his officers were sweating like pigs. I smiled, knowing that I might be able to do this. I looked around to see civilians shuffle to one side moving away from me. Another advantage. With all these idiots staring at me like I was a retard from a mental institution. Everybody had the same look of perturbation. Except Summer, there she was. Standing there, cool, calm and collected. Grab her and run. Grab her and run, these were the words I kept repeating to myself.

"Jake Miller, you will not get away this time!"

"I think I will" I replied, the smirk of victory creeping upon my face. This man seemed very nervous and doesn't look to be very experienced. It's time to experiment.

"You're gonna kill me, in cold blood. Is that your plan? You know it will haunt you, it will traumatize you for the rest of your petty life. All tha-"

"Shut the fuck up Jake Miller, your past is unacceptable. Drug trafficking, murder and the trading of bodies. You won't see the light of day anytime soon young man. We are pressing charges on you for all those times you fought against the law, and you would make a very nice trophy for my first criminal to be locked up in bars" He replied with firm belief. This man is confident and will be hard to break down.

Approach him slowly and move sideways and into the direction of the crowd. He won't risk lives of civilians because he's new to the job. Great plan , how do I come up with this stuff? I did just that, slowly enough for him not to notice. I looked at Summer who seemed to be hiding something. A slow revelation of the piece she was holding. Is that a flash bang? This girl is uncanny and beautiful.

"Move another step and I will shoot!" He yelled, his hands trembling and he seemed to be frozen. Perfect. That's when I heard the last of him, which was followed by the constant clicking and knocking on the marble floor. Everything appeared to be in slow motion, a hand grabbed me and pulled me away as a stream of light pierced from the incapacitated bottle. We approached our car, entered and sped away from the mess we caused and right now, all I felt was guilt.

20 minutes later.

"Where are we?" I asked tentatively.

"Underground baby, this is our old home" She answered as I looked around to see the slum that used to be our home.
