WAR

When something dear is to be saved,
Wars are waged.
Somebody gets a rise
and someone has a demise.
Somebody has won something
While,
Somebody has lost something,
Yet both sides had to face a cost.
In the battlefield innocents were tossed,
Whatever they were told was falsely glossed.
Men were sent to their dooms
So their families could sleep adequately in their rooms.
