I was sleeping with my baby Colby and he felt hot under the blankets. So I threw the blanket off just assuming that he was just hot with the blankets on. I checked his head and it was starting to heal. Then I went back to sleep.
The next morning
I got up and went downstairs to make breakfast. Then I heard footsteps coming downstairs.
I looked over and saw Colby was crying.S- baby what's wrong bubba
C- dadda I don't feel good
S- what's hurting you angle
Colby pointed to his head and his stomach.I laid my hand on his forehead and he was burning up.
S- oh my god baby your burning up let's get you back to bed
Then I carried Colby to our bed and laid him down. My hand touched his back while I was carrying him and he was so hot.
Then I went to get some water, thermometer, a bucket ,and a cold rag.
I went back to Colby and laid all the stuff on a table.
S- I'm going to take your temperature baby okay
C- okay daddyThen I put it under his toungue. I waited for the beep.
A few minutes later
It beeped and I checked it right away. It was 102.1S- awe baby boy you gave a fever
I got him to drink some water. Then I picked up the cold rag and moved his hair out of the way from his forehead and I could feel heat coming off from his body.
I laid the cold rag on his forehead.
C- dadda that's cold
S- I know I know it's just going to bring your fever down a little bit babyThen I laid with him all night.
The next morning
