"mom?" astrid called out as her bedroom door opened.

"i'm here, are you dressed?" her mother asked.

"yeah, can i talk to you?" astrid asks and walks out to where her mother was standing. she was fully ready to go, astrid just needed her shoes.

"about what?" her mother asks and motions for her to sit on the bed.

"well, i think i like someone. but he has a girlfriend, but i've seen said girlfriend cheating on him. and i told him that she cheated on him but he didn't break up with her or anything." astrid confesses and her mother sighs.

"who is it?" her mother asks her but she shakes her head.

"i can't tell you. but he's nice most of the time and i think he cares about me, as a friend. i just don't know what to do." astrid says and sighs, leaning her head on her mother's arm.

"i know it's hard baby, but you can't do anything until he breaks up with his girlfriend, if he even does so." her mother tells her and she nods slightly.

"thank you. are we leaving now?" astrid asks and her mother nods.

"yeah so get your butt in shoes. are you driving yourself?" astrid's mother asks.

"yep. i'll see you guys there." she says and waves slightly as her mother leaves the room. she looks down at her dress and sighs. it was a pale pink color and showed a bit much of her cleavage but it would be fine.

astrid walked out of her car and walked up to the party.

"damn girl." kelce calls out to her and she sighs, stopping in her steps as kelce walks up to her.

"i thought we agreed nothing is going on between us?" astrid asks and raises one of her eyebrows at him.

"just a compliment, have fun." kelce says with a smirk before bowing slightly. astrid laughed lowly.

"thank you kelce, you look nice as well." she winks before walking into the party. she saw the cameron's already walking around, rose's headpiece looked like some kind of weapon. her eyes landed on pope and she smiled, walking over to him.

"hey pope." she said and he turned around to look at her.

"oh, hi." he said awkwardly, making her smile goofily.

"how's it going?" she asks, motioning toward the grill.

"good i guess, it's pretty boring." he shrugs and astrid laughs lowly.

"well, nothing is very exciting at this current time is it?" astrid asks, making pope grin.

"not trying to kick you out but don't you have other friends here to talk to? my dad will kill me if i'm distracted." pope says and astrid snorts.

"yeah of course, bye pope." she says and walks away.

astrid slowly walks over to topper while he runs his hand through his hair, after he had knocked over a plant.

"what was that about?" she asks, making him turn around to face her. he scoffs and rolls his eyes.

"i guess you were telling the truth. sarah did cheat on me." he says as he laughs lowly.

"i'm sorry topper, i really didn't want this to happen." astrid tells him and he shakes his head slightly.

"are you sure? because you really seemed to want to kiss me the other day. so it seems like you really don't care." topper says and astrid frowns.
