"Ink, Tell me, once again, why are we headed to a place where killers live?!" Cross faded as Dream patted his hand.

They were going to the beach. But Ink suddenly got them lost, because he wasn't listening to the GPS. And his phone die. So they pass a desert Cross recognize in book and newspaper. Where there are disappearnes. He guess it was because there were killers there. He asked Ink. But Ink told him they're quickly going to pass them. And Cross getting nervous and angry. He had to ask Ink again.

"We're not going to there, were just going to pass it." Ink responded. "Besides were having fun on the back, right?" Ink look through the mirror in the front to see the back. He could see Dream resting his head on Cross' shoulder. Ink giggle.

"I guess," Cross mumble, looking at the window. The landscape was beautiful. You could see plants you never think would grow in a desert. You could(sometimes) see rabbits, coyotes, Roadrunners, owls and other animals. Oh, and there was also a figure, staring at him.

A FIGURE?! Cross quickly look at the window and then at the back window but didn't see any figure. 'I am probably getting Desert Mirage.' Cross told himself, putting a hand on his head. 'I must be.'

They were almost out of gas when Blue spotted a gas station up at front. Ink quickly drove and made it, right before, they actually did run out of gas.

The place look empty. Ink got out of the car and Blue follow. Cross sigh as he open the car door and got out. Stretching his bones. Dream got out and did the same thing. "Is there anyone here?" Dream ask. Ink didn't say anything. He just shrugged. He walk to the door of the gas station and knock.

No respond, neither the door opening. Ink roll his eyes and knock again.

No response or the door opening. But you could hear some faint footsteps. And soon the door open, revealing a really familiar person.

"Red?!" Ink blurted. Blue jump and ran to Ink, to be surprised with Red. Red is a friend from where back at their home. He became friends with them, but he became best friends with Blue, and soon they were inseparable.

"RED!" Blue thrilled. You could see some embarrassment and confusion on Red's face as Cross and Dream came to see him. "What are you doing here?!"

Red hesitate. "I work here?"

Blue, Ink, and Dream look at him like he was joking. "In the middle of nowhere? In the middle of a desert?!" Blue hugged him. "WHY?"

"Because people need help in the middle of nowhere, like you, and because I like being alone." Red answer.

"You are crazy." Cross said. "What do you eat to survive? There's no town around for miles."

"Oh, I eat what's in the store." Red said. "But not a lot, since passersby and tourists depend on them."

"In that case, do you have any chocolate?" Dream asked as Cross' eyes widen and smile.
