I was stalking Luke Anderson Martinez on his way to my office. He was wearing hospital dress again, obviously, rejected another wheelchair for his convenience and through the sight of him, made me annoyed. This man is truly hard to read.
A while ago, we happened to ride on the same elevator. When I remember about yesterday, I tried to apologize for not coming back too soon but he just ignored me. Leaving me flustered and embarassed to many people inside the elevator.
"Hey, Mr. Martinez." and again, he ignored me. Now his getting into my nerve.
"Hoy." he suddenly stop.
"Thank goodness, hindi ka pa pala bingi-"
He stared at me, flatly. "It's lock."
That made me realize we are now standing in front of my office door. I muttered an apologize and slip my key on the doorknob. Letting him follow me without words.
"Luke-"
"Let's wait for the others." pamamara niya sakin, which silenced me.
"O-okay."
"Nice, everyone's here." Philip exclaimed as he entered my office.
The team are already now complete with my head nurse Daisy, Philip's two nurses, two hematologist and one oncologist.
I gave him a small smile, "No, your just in time."
I heard Luke snorted on his sit, when I turned my eyes on him. His eyes were just focused in his phone screen. Made my brows rose.
"Need anything Mister Martinez?" he glanced at me first before shrugging his shoulder.
"Let's just wait for Frederich, the representative of Oliverio's Pharmaceutical." I announced.
Di nagtagal dumating na si Frederich, he was wearing navy blue button-down dress shirt and white pants. When he caught my gaze, he gave me a salute and wink. I silently, showed him my middle finger which only him can see my filty finger.
"I guess, we are already here. Shall we begin?" I said.
The team already discussed about the change of plan for Luke's treatment. I glanced at him who just comfortably sitted on his sit with Frederich's on his left side.
Seeing how his jaw tightened aggressively as he listen to the discussion, made me looked away. His reaction is commonly the same with other patients, but seeing those reaction from him, actually pained me.
The meeting adjourned smoothly, Philip just nodded at me before he escorted the other doctors. Frederich decided to stay on my office for a while to kill some time after Luke bid his goodbye.
"I'll be back, fuckers." sambit ko kay Frederich at tinakbo ang pagitan ni Luke at tumabi sa kanya habang naglalakad.
Hindi niya man lang ako binalingan ng tingin. Completely, ignoring my presence.
"May problema ba?" agarang tanong ko. Di niya ko pinansin at nagpatuloy lang sa paglalakad.
"Look, I am sorry about yesterday-"
"Leave me alone." maikli niyang sambit.
"Am I making you uncomfortable?"
He snorted, "It doesn't matter."
"Why are you avoiding me? Yesterday, all I thought-" my voice slowed when I see anger flash in his eyes "w-we are already talking."
"Really, Mia? Do I really have to repeat myself to you?"
