With our hands intertwined together, laughing on how hilarious this trip with these bunch of people. Both Mia and I looked at each other, plastering each other's smile of content.
"Your finally smiling." komento ko sa kanya, matapos ang mahaba niyang pananahimik simula pa sa oras ng tanghalian namin hanggang sa byahe papunta dito sa Strawberry Farm na pag-aari ng isang matalik na kaibigan ni Lendy.
"Pansin mo?" di makapaniwalang tanong niya sa akin. Bago pinanliitan ako ng tingin, "Tinititigan mo ba ako buong umaga?" sabi niya kasabay nakalolokong ngiti niya.
"Sa sobrang ingay mo, huwag ka ng magtaka kung bakit pansin ko." agad namang napalitan ng panlilisik na tingin ang mga mata niya.
Which widened my smile, as I remember how fast she was in changing her facial expression seven years ago until now.
"Gusto mo, upakan kita?" pagbabanta niya, na kinatawa ko lang.
"Chill Ms. Mefalcon, we still have 24 hours to wrestle with each other. So please, calm your nerves." pagbibiro ko sa kanya, na ginawaran niya lang ng isang ambang suntok at nangunang lumakad papunta sa direksyon ni Daisy.
"I told you, you're cute when your pissed." she just flicked her middle finger behind her back, since she's walking before me.
Dahilan ng di mawalang ngiti ko habang parang batang lumulundag at sinundan siya sa likod bago ko siya niyakap mula sa likod niya. Lilingon na sana si Mia sa akin, but someone darely butted in.
"For heaven sake, I do support two of you but please, knock it off. Just for today, please let us experience the beauty of City of Pines without having an eye sore." Lendy frustratedly yell at us with her pair of glares.
While Daisy on the other hand who has complete satisfaction plastered in her face and calmly crossing her arms in between her chest, nodded.
"I'm allergic with sweet nowadays, so kindly create some distance between the two of you." Daisy said and pulled Mia away from me before narrowing her eyes from me. "Thank you, Mr. Martinez." she said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes 360 degrees.
Disbelief, I looked at Mia, who was comfortably sneaking her arms in between Daisy and Lendy's. Look at me innocently.
"Sorry, dear. I just found myself a personal securities." she said with her puppy eyes, before wiggling her eyebrows and faced the road toward the huge strawberry of the City of Pines.
Planning to protest, I felt Cederick and James arms dramatically holding me in between.
"Please be considerate, my friend." seyosong sabi ni Cederick at hinila na ako.
"Tangina niyo, sabihin niyo bitter kayo." banas kong bulyaw sa kanila.
"Have compassion, men." dagdag pa ni James, as he tapped my shoulder and start working.
I was wearing my drowsy face throughout the whole strawberry picking, but my heart plastered differently. Which I secretly listed the two top reasons, first is, after a long time I experience hanging out with the two assholes, since I almost forgot the fun of cursing each other's faces.
For the second one is, I can't stop myself looking at the two precious women of my life. My sister and the woman of my life are laughing and enjoying each other's company, including Daisy who finally was able to show genuine smile as she tagged along with the two.
Di ko na nga namalayan na may namumuong luha na pala sa mga mata ko, kaya, habang nakangiti. I wiped my tears with the pure bliss as I stare at the warm liquis on my palms. Remembering what Mom told me, I never thought of how God's greatness would be this wonderful and amazing.
