Fuck you. Fuck you, Devin.
She slammed the door as soon as he disappeared. God, how love can turn to hate real quick. She wanted to give him another punch, maybe in his stomach if her knuckles didn't hurt.
She felt bad for hitting him like that but he deserved it. She felt insulted with those cruel comments he gave to her about her parents, telling him to stop but it was like pouring the gas to the fire as he only kept going. What a dick. She muttered, wiping away the tears on her cheeks with her sweaty palms.
Things didn't end really well between them, she really thought he was one but she was pretty sure she was wrong.
Blocking his number, she threw her phone across the couch to continue watching her delayed tv show.

He didn't come to pick her up that morning, and she also wasn't waiting for him. She already had a backup plan as she rung her friend that night after the fighting. She spent a box of tissues, crying over the boy who she thought had stolen her heart and stomped over it like a little bully. Today she had gathered her shits, she was going to face him even it still hurt as hell with his words were still lingering in her ears.'Maybe if you get your shits straight, you may be less miserable and pathetic now.'
It slapped her hard, very hard across her cheeks. He was an absolute asshole. Maybe asshole was his middle name after all.
She saw him there, goofing around his friends at the locker like nothing happened yesterday. She caught his eyes, cautiously watching her from afar as she walked past him by. She just simply looked away, her heart cracked again.
'He isn't worth it, let's go.'
Rose gave Birdie's arm a light squeeze, tugging her arm to their first class together with her eyes began to well up again at the sight of him.
She had always been a strong girl, crying wasn't like her as she usually just dodged away the pain in her chest, keeping it bottled up until it ate her from inside. Now she was fighting the urge to cry but there was no use, one blink and her cheeks will be wet with tears.
Rose, being the most helpful and understanding friend by her side quickly covered her up, handing her the little handkerchief she always carried around. It hurt her too seeing Birdie cried like that, just by the sight of him.
'What a dick,' Birdie whispered as she looked up to Rose, letting out a breathy chuckle when she finally felt a little better.
