My Mom wasn't kidding. Apparently she married a guy who was a wizard and doesn't like the mortal world. He went back to live amongst the wizard community. As a result I'm here. It explains why I've never met him.

My Mom had to force me to take at least three calming pills before we could carry on with our conversation. Everything was happening so fast I had to take a minute to comprehend what is happening. I'm a wizard, my dad is a wizard, my Mom is a mortal.

"So, what's the letter for?" I asked.

"There is a place where kids like you go, a school." she said.

"Am I going there for school now?" I asked.

"Your father wants you to, so he can actually meet you, but I don't want you to leave me just yet.'' Mom looked down at her feet looking guilty. I feel kind of bad for her. ''I wish I coould keep you here, but you're required to go.''

"But what about all of my friends? Are they wizards too?'' It would be great if they were, I wouldn't have to leave them.

My Mom frowned and then looked to the window. I know what that means, no. This wizard school does sound fun though. Maybe it won't be that bad.

"They're taking off tomorrow, at three o'clock. So I think we'll be good if you stay with me.'' Mom said. ''Oh, and you can't tell anyone, unless they're a wizard too, and can prove it.''

"But, Mom, I kind of want to go. I could learn how to do all the spells and everything. Wouldn't that be cool?"

"No, you're staying with me and that's final." she sounded very aggravated.

That night I was getting ready for bed and I saw something out the window, a human shadow with no human for it. I figured it was just my imagination and carried on putting my pajamas on. My Mom came in my room and apologized about earlier. I don't think she really had to but she did anyway.

Later that night, I was woken from my sleep with my my bedside lamp crashing to the ground. A women was there, she had long blonde hair, tiny glasses, and a shirt with 'BW' across it. Just like the stamp on the letter. She quickly picked up the lamp, waved her hands, said something like 'repario' and the lamp was as it was before.

''Oh, sorry about that. I guess I should introduce myself shouldn't I. Hullo, I'm Cherry Kulagin the 2nd!" she spoke with a high pitched British acccent.

''Huh? What? Why are you in my bedroom?'' I glaced at my alarm clock. ''It's three in the morning what are you doing here?''

''Well Amanda, I'm here to take you to Bally Wardens of course!'' Cherry said a little too cheerfully.

''Wait, how do you know my name? And whats Bally Wardens?"

''Oh, you have so much to learn! Bally Wardens is the school for wizards!"

''Okay... but how do your know my name?"

"I'm Cherry Kulagin, you know the all knowing fairy?" Did she just say fairy?

My jaw dropped at that point. 'BW' Bally Wardens most likely. And fairy?

"Oww" I complained.

"Why did you just pinch yourself?" Cherry asked.

"To see if I was dreaming, which I now know that I'm not." I said.

"All odds aside, I have come to take you to Bally Wardens since your mother refuses too." she said, "Selfish mortals."

"Hey, that's my mom your'e insulting." I said angrilly.

"Sorry, but come with me we have to go to catch the train." she said.

"Won't my mom notice I'm gone?'' I asked.

"Don't you worry about that!'' she bopped my nose. ''We've got that all figured out.''

"We?" she just smiled.
