I learned a lot about Preston, Brandon, and Brooke. It turns out Brandon is from England, Preston lives in Texas, and Brooke is from New York.

As the ride went on the scenery got more and more interesting, and complex. Finally the time came when we arrived at the school. It was humongous. Imagine the largest building you've ever seen. Now imagine it ten times bigger. It still doesn't compare to this school.

I was absolutely amazed.

The train came to a stop by the side of the school. Three teachers came to escort us all. It was a long uncomfortable walk to the front doors. Nobody said anything, you could hear a pin drop.

We came inside to a grand hallway, decorated with countless paintings. The teachers took a right to huge room with a loft. Big stuffed chairs lined the room with walkways in between. Same for the top. Teachers and staff were running about the room, bringing papers, discussing important matters. The youngest sat in the front and the oldest in the back. I sat next to Brooke, and Preston and Brandon sat on the other side of us.

After we all got settled in, two older men walked towards the front. I noticed there was another guy about in his twenties stumbling behind them, dropping papers, and tripping over his feet. He didn't really seem like the dependable type of person.

The two older men started talking into a microphone and the younger guy stood behind them. The older men started to talk about school rules; no deliberate violence, no bullying, no going off school grounds without permission-all your typical school rules. They also had the rules that implied magic. No using cursed spells, no pet dragons, no potions in the dorms without supervision. I wasn't really paying attention to the rest.

I was anxious to see what category I would be put into. I learned from Brooke that the category you were put into, meant that was what you were most skilled at. For example, if I was really good at fire magic, that would me my category. And so on.

The sound of everyone talking and murmuring, suddenly drowned out as the speech ended and the food magically appeared. All of a sudden there were tables that shot out of the ground everywhere. And then these weird, flying, uh-creatures? I think? But anyways, these, creatures were flying all over the place dropping off food by just touching tables. Any food you could possibly imagine. Just POOF!! I thought about how my Mom used to make spaghetti on rainy nights, and sure enough there it was sitting in front on me, a huge platter of it too. I was so transfixed in starring at these creature flying everywhere, meeting the needs of kids desires, that my food started getting cold. I quickly inhaled a bowl, and as soon as I finished, more of it was brought to me. I was speechless of how cool it was.

After several rounds of spaghetti and maybe a little too much dessert, we were split up between male, and female. Then we were split up between grades. Brooke and I jumped in with the group of first-year girls, and we were heading on our way to the dormitories.

Luckily, it wasn't too bad of a walk. The dorms were cast on a large hallway, rooms on each side. The doors already had names pinned on them so unfortunately I couldn't choose where I wanted to be. On the bright side, I was just a few rooms from the front, with Brooke across from me and down a few. I wondered if the boys dorms were the same. Hmm.. most likely.

I moved into my new room and unpacked all my belongings. There wasn't much to the room. Just a bed in stuffed away in the corner, a dresser, and a rather large closet. I plopped my books and such on my dresser, and jumped on my bed. There wasn't much to do, so I took out my wand and started fiddling with it. Soon enough, I was making green sparks shoot out of the top of my wand, and shimmer through the air.

Around ten that night, I heard a knock at my door. I pulled on a over-sized T-shirt and some shorts, and ran to the door. Brooke stood there a finger over her lips, mouthing 'Shh'. She waved her hand beckoning me forward. So of course, I followed being the Curious George I am. I tried to ask her where we going, but again, she shushed me.

She led us down the dorm hallway to the window at the end. I didn't understand why she would come here because like most of the windows at the school, it's painted shut. Brooke pulled out her wand and muttered something under her breath. The window split open in two and slid apart. On the other side was not the outside, but another room. The room had high tables, and sofa's, and bean bag chairs. There were bright lanterns strung on a rope that lit up the room. Bright, colorful carpets filled the rooms floors.

Brooke turned and smiled. She stepped through the window and I followed. Then she said, "And this, is the forgotten common room." She said with a smirk.
