"AYE MEEYA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! HOW DID YOU SPEND IT YESTERDAY?" squeals Hidha in excitement to know how "beautifully" I had spent my birthday.

Mondays are never blue when you have Hidha around you as her positivity somehow calms you down.

"Yea it was great..." I shrugged and looked away.

Then there was a tap on my shoulder.

As I turned around, I heard

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEEEEEEEEYAAAAAA!"

With a beautiful mango cake and candles lit, MY FRIENDS stood there looking at me with joy

With a beautiful mango cake and candles lit, MY FRIENDS stood there looking at me with joy.

The whole canteen filled with students with their polka dotted uniforms staring at us and whispering across the rather loud eatery area. Of course, its lunch time. "look, its her birthday,,, so good", "so cute her friends are doing a surprise party for her"

I looked at the pretty cake and my friends and clasped my hands over my mouth.

Every year on my birthday I felt like I died a little more. Every year it was a reminder that I have to go through another year of torture. But Now... Right now. I want to forget about it all. and just enjoy the moment. PERIOD.

"Thank you soo much! You don't how much you all have made my day you guys!"

I want to cry. But I never cry. I never do. It's just in me.

"Meeya, we got you gifts, we hope you like it" and Shazza (my another best friend), took out this beautiful necklace with 3 hearts interconnecting each other. And the words "best friends forever" were engraved on the heartshaped pendant that can be separated. Shazza and I know each other since Primary 1 (7 Years old). We were all in the same class.
