What¿

Our school is celebrating the Christmas Party everyone's waiting for. It was like Valentine's Day as some gave their precious gifts to their certain persons. But it's the season of giving anyways.

I spent some hours sitting on the same chair as I got to our class. Everyone's enjoying their time, celebrating some shizz and just having fun before our Christmas break. To be honest, I'm being anxious to how and when I can give my gift for her. Everyone already gave their gifts to some, and I already received my gift from Paulo and Jacob which is a baseball cap and a Nintendo Switch. We all got some expensive things but I'm still anxious. I don't know if she'll wear it. Or even like it.

I glanced at her direction and she's talking to Greyson with Janine. I guess they're reconciling what's lost between them. Which is good and mature thing to do. I never expect that Olivia would be this friendly and toxic-free for herself, also for everyone. Which made me adore her much more.

She glanced at my direction and she smiled at me. Or I don't know if it's me, but I'm guessing that it's me since I'm the only weird kid sitting around here.

Janine and Greyson looked at me and smile. I nod as a greet and looked away. But I noticed that Olivia is walking towards me which made me tremble again. Geez. When will it stop.

"Hi. Don't you wanna join your friends?" Olivia chuckled and I glanced at my friends and they're playing with the cake which is very disgusting to watch.

"I don't want to get all dirty. But it is still entertaining just by watching." I said and she laughed which made me confused.

"I hope that you're really having fun just by watching everyone." she said

"Y-Yeah. Don't worry." I smiled awkwardly and she took out a box that is wrapped from a 'Happy Birthday' wrapper.

"This is for you. I'm sorry about the wrapper. I ran out of wrappers since I gave presents for everyone. But I hope you still like it." she smiled sweetly, and little embarrassed as she hand out her gift. For Me.

I took it from her hand and look at her. Surprised.

She gave everyone a present? EVERYONE? We're like fourty-five students!

"I hope you like it, Mike. And I somehow made it extra special for you since you're one of the special persons I have." she said and Gabriela called her name. Bummer.

"I-I gotta go. We're still checking some rooms. See you later, Mike!" she waved goodbye and sprint away.

...just as I remember that I have a gift for her. Damn it.

I looked at the box and it was well wrapped. And I somehow feel special even though she gave a present for everyone, but my wrapper is different so, I guess, it's special? But goddamn Olivia has a present for me and I didn't expect anything from her.

I decided to open her present later as I get home. For now, I need to give my present for her. Geez. I'm such a dumbass.

I stood up from my chair and followed her direction from where she went. I didn't see her. Damn it.

"H-Have you seen Olivia?" I asked to one of my classmate and she shooked her head. I said thanks and continued walking down the isle.

"Paulo, have you seen Olivia?" I asked as I pat his shoulders. He jolted as he see me.

"No. Why, bro?– Oh, yeah. Your present. Look I got one from her!" he said and show his prent from her.

"Y-Yeah, I know. I got one, too. But have you seen her?"

"I saw her with Gabby. I think that they're heading to the Cafeteria."

"Okay, okay. Thanks, bro."

I walk quickly, bumping to some strangers. Apologizing again and again.

And finally, I saw her.

"Olivia." I said, panting, catching my breath. She seem confused and Gabby was just staring at me, also confused.

"H-Hey, Mike. What's wrong?" she asked and stood up.

"I.. I want to give this to you." I said giving my present at the middle of my panting. Her eyes widened, surprised.

She opened the box and she got more surprised as she saw the ring I bought for her.

"W-Where did you get this? This is too expensive for a present, Mike!" she said. Still unbelievably shocked from what she received from me.

"I hope it fits. I don't really know your finger size or what they call, but I hope you like it." I said awkwardly and my palms are dripping as fuck. I'm sweating as hell.

"I-I like it, Mike. Thank you so much. I like it." she said and crashed me with a hug.

My world slows down as my body touches hers. As if I was about to explode. Damn.

"Thank you. I extremely appreciate it. Thank you. But for now, I have to go. My parents are waiting outside. Still, thank you for your wonderful gift. Thank you. And see you soon! Merry Christmas and a Jolly New Year!"

She left me a kiss on my right cheek and sprint away. I froze at my place, staring at her direction as she slowly fades away from my sight. Damn, that was amazing.

"Do you know where she's going?" Gabby said. Interrupted my daydreaming.

"N-No, why?" I asked. A little curious.

"She'll go somewhere far away from here. She'll just prepare her papers for their residency in Canada. She'll finish her two more years here and she'll be gone, 'for good' as she told me. I know, it's heart breaking. But if I were you, I'll confess to her right away and never miss a chance." she said, sound concern.

But I was just making my first move and how she's moving far away?

"W-Why? For what? A-And how'd you know I... like her?" I stutter. Getting a little anxious.

"I guess, for family reason she wouldn't tell. And, Mike, I've been watching you for a couple of months now since you and Janine broke up, when Olivia referred you to the Guidance, and now you're giving her a ring! I'm not that stupid like her, you know. Besides that, Jacob actually told me."

Damn it.

How will I tell her that I like her? I... I'm still scared of losing the friendship we have. It might change. And maybe the way she smile will never be the same, nor her genuine laugh again. How? How? How?

"Wait, so she'll only arrange her papers for their residency? Then she'll move after two years?" I asked.

"Exactly. So, make it worthwhile for her. I'm not really sure, but I know you'll be the one for her. Not for now, but I'm guessing soon."

"Stop making my mind believe on false hope, Gabby."

"Geez. You're too serious for love. We're still young for true love."

I sighed and walked away.

Now that I have an idea about what's really happening. Time to man up and stop being a fucking pussy. Geez. It's tiring for me to plan on how to be with her within two fucking years. That's crazy.

I got home and rip her gift. A fancy box welcomed me as I rip the wrappers off. I opened the box and it's  a Rolex Cellini leather black strap. This is too expensive and I did not expect that it would be like this!

As I was still shocked from her gift, I saw a piece of paper underneath the cusion. It was a letter. Specifically, for me. It says:

Dear Mike,

     Thank you for being a great friend. Don't worry, you're the only one who has a letter from me. I want it to be more special for you since you made my year really special.
