Gwen Stacy sat in her room, working on some homework. She had been tired out from trying to keep her dad from figuring out that she had helped Jessica hack into Oscorp's system and been sneaking around.

She put her pencil down and shook her hand, trying to ease the sore muscles. She then continued writing again, only to be interrupted by her phone ringing.

Gwen put her pencil down once more and picked up her phone, answering it. "Hello?"

"Gwen!" Jessica shouted from the other end. Gwen could hear the sound of metal clanking and yells from others. "I need you to get the police. Tell them to get to the top of the Empire State Building."

"Wait, are you having a fight on top of the Empire State Building!? How has nobody noticed?"

"You know, I was wondering the same thing." Jessica said. "Please hurry!"

"Okay, I'm on it." Gwen said as she hung up the phone. She took a deep breath as she stood up from her desk, quickly putting on her shoes. She then left her room and slowly snuck out the front door, careful to keep her mother from noticing.

Once Gwen was on the streets, to tried to walk as quickly as possible without looking suspicious. She knew that Jessica could keep the fight under control, she just wasn't sure how long.

Gwen also thought about the consequences of her getting the police. Her dad was the Captain, after all. He'd be curious as to how Gwen got into helping Jessica, who was helping Spider-Man, and that would be a mess.

Gwen shook the thoughts away. What happened to her didn't matter, it wouldn't even be close to as bad as whatever would happen if she didn't get Jessica help in time.

Gwen was passing Oscorp as she headed to the police station and got the strange feeling that she was being watched. She tried to brush the feeling off, but ended up stopping to look around.

After not finding anything, she began to walk again when she felt a jolt of pain.

"Ahh!" She shouted, shaking whatever was causing the pain off of her hand. She looked at the back of her hand to find a small little bite mark. "Dang." She whispered and continued on her way.

Gwen was approaching the station when she heard noises from a nearby alley. She turned and saw two figures in the dark, one mugging the other.

Gwen began to run towards the mugger and yelled, "Hey!" The mugger looked up and saw Gwen, giving the victim time to escape. The mugger fumbled with his pocket and grabbed a gun, pointing it at Gwen. "Drop it!" She said, her voice shaky.

The mugger held on to the gun with a tight grip, and Gwen wasn't sure what to do. "Don't move, or I shoot you." He said.

Gwen was terrified, but stood still. The mugger began to approach her, getting closer and closer.

When the mugger was about a foot away, Gwen saw an opportunity. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again, and quickly kneed the man in the groin with all the force she could.

Gwen has expected the man to fall over in pain, but instead he had flown back a few feet. Gwen was terrified as the man laid on the ground in pain, and quickly turned around, darting out of the alley and to the police station.

Gwen quickly threw open the doors of the station, still shaken from her encounter in the alley.

Captain Stacy was talking to the desk clerk when he noticed Gwen run in. "Gwen, what are you doing here?"

"There's a fight happening on top of the Empire State Building, and they need police involvement."

"Who?" Captain Stacy asked. "And how do you know this?"

Gwen hesitated, thinking of the right words. "Someone I met at work is friends with Spider-Man. Her and Spider-Man are being attacked, I don't know who by."

Captain Stacy took a long sigh before answering. "We'll get to the scene as soon as we can."

"Okay, thank you, dad." Gwen said. "Also, there's a mugger in an alley nearby."

Captain Stacy nodded and went to talk to his team as Gwen sat in the lobby chair, feeling a sudden wave of dizziness.
